I drink 4-5 cups a day. Nothing happens in the morning until I’ve had one and that gives me enough fuel to drink 3-4 more and eat breakfast. Also, no one should have to be anywhere until at least 11 am.

Coffee is a staple in my life. I get up and the first thing I do is make a cup. I drink it on the way to the shower, leave it on the sink and finish it when I get out.

I drink cups throughout the day. The few times in my adult life where I haven’t had a cup by late morning...well, it’s not pretty. Think Godzilla and Tokyo.

Wake me up when some genius says Americans should drink more great Kentucky whiskey.

Coffee is awesome stuff. On a recent trip to California, I purchased two pounds of fresh ground Peets to take home.

Not only can people stop worrying about whether drinking coffee is bad for them, according to the panel, they might even want to consider drinking a bit more.

They can't. I drank it all.

If it weren’t for coffee and tobacco, I wouldn’t consume any vegetables.

What do they want to talk about? I have a little home espresso maker and have a quad (about 15 ounces) espresso every morning — and that’s it (unless it’s summer, then I have about a 32 ounce iced coffee every morning). Is that enough to satisfy them?

It’s official: Americans should drink more coffee

I'd like to help, really I would but I cannot possibly drink more coffee than I already do.

Dang it all!

I just knew coffee would be unhealthy. This proves it beyond refutation! All these high-fallutin experts are always 180 degrees out from right. And I loved coffer...

Suggesting 5 cups a day is stupid. Shows how little credibility these “studies “ are.

Notice how all the medical facts that have been shoved down our throats over the past 30+ years are slowly being disproven. Meat, eggs, butter are now all okay and even necessary for health. Now coffee is good and maybe red wine isn’t as good as they thought a few years ago. I can’t wait for that to be reversed in ten years. It’s like the movie Sleeper.

But we should surrender ourselves to communism because a few NASA scientists think that maybe a gas that has been present in the atmosphere since creation is harmful. Ignore the big fiery ball in the sky, it’s our fault and the only answer is to give up all worldly possessions and buy al gore’s carbon credits.

On average, Americans only drink about one cup of coffee per day, according to data collected by the United States Department of Agriculture. Even when Americans drank the most coffee they ever have, back in 1946, they still only drank two cups a day on average.

I guess the quart and a half I drink per day pumps up the average a bit, neh? LOL! :)

I can’t live without my pot of morning coffee! Usually Central American or East African beans; I grind them myself, process through Melita drip filter, add a lot of whole milk and — heaven!

Actually strong black coffee, even instant, is a great cure for migraines. Dilates the blood vessels.

Well, coffee IS the preferred beverage of Tea Partiers. That and bourbon. We did toss the tea in the bay after all.

That's why I found the lame-O left's attempt to start a Coffee Party to be so ill-informed. The jobless, Starbucks swilling protesters demonstrated, not only their historical ignorance, but at $4 a cup, financial foolishness.

I use an old stainless steel stovetop percolator and make one cup for the morning. I set it up the day before so all I have to do is turn on the stove. I eventually would like to stop the one cup. The 4 biggest things that suppress your immune system - alcohol, tobacco, sugar and coffee.

I was never a coffee drinker. I kinda prided myself on it.

Then, you know what happened? A teenaged daughter and a $50 dollar Starbucks gift card.

She got me started on those frozen Frappucinos. It just escalated from there.

Now, it's my favorite 15 minutes of the day.
