All the awards have been given out and it looks like the final numbers for the 87th Oscars are in. Running from 8:30 PM to 11:48 PM ET last night, the Neil Patrick Harris hosted show garnered a 10.8 rating among adults 18-49 with 36.6 million viewers. Among the key demo thats a 17% drop from what the final ratings for the 2014 Academy Awards were and the worst the AMAPAS ceremony has done since 2008.That show had a 10.68 rating. The total viewership for last nights Oscars were down 18% from last year to hit a 6-year low. The 2009 Oscars had a total audience of 36.6 million. Now, the numbers for the 2015 Oscars could see further adjustment, as they did last year but lets just say, its pretty certain they wont be going up to 2014 or 2013 levels.

Oh, was that last weekend?
It went downhill as soon as the homo came out in his undies..no one wants to see that!! Oh and let’s not forget giving out Best song to Selma and hearing the acceptance speech full of waa waaa waaa poor criminals don’t have rights, blacks are losing their right to vote because they have to show something that is required to drive poor babies
She wasn't thinking, she was mindlessly spewing leftist drivel.
How can a millionaire woman speaking in a room half full of millionaire women, including one who is (or was) one of the top five richest people on the planet screech about inequality for women?
Gee, what's not to like?
Amazing how little press is being given to Sean Penn’s comment about “Birdman” director Alejandro Iñárritu ....quote, “Who gave this son a bitch a green card?”
What industry do you work in?
Data Processing. :-)
I’m 63 and have never watched the Oscars.
Click on the link to Deadline Hollywood, and READ THE COMMENTS! America is worth loving!!!!
The comments reflect the real America. Over the years I've seen this same kind of thing on comment boards everywhere from L.A. Times and Mother Jones to yahoo and the Washington Post. The MSM and Hollywood pretend to represent America, but the reality is the MSM and Hollywood only represent the MSM and Hollywood. America holds them and their leftist biases in contempt by a margin of nearly two to one.
It's why the left has to cheat, whether it's Obama and Democrats or Cochran and leftist Republicans.
In that audience? I bet a good part of the male audience absolutely swooned.
When they announce a Winner ,how come they never give the numbers ,how many voted for each person/film ? Are they embarrassed that the numbers very low ?
Just other fags in their under wear...........or none............
That this was 1955...............
Don't give a whip about them....
Hollywood is fake..............
You poor thing. How DO you cope?............
And it didn't help that the The LEGO Movie, which was popular with both critics and movie audiences alike, wasn't nominated for Best Animated Feature. As such, it effectively defaulted to Disney's Big Hero 6, which was not as popular as Frozen, the previous year's winner, as the winner in that category.
Small wonder why more and more entertainment company money are now being spent on high production value television series instead. It's not a coincidence that we've have some great TV series in recent years: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and so on.
An awards show created by Hollywood for Hollywood and marketed to mass audiences of LIV’s simply so they can tell each other how great they are.
Congratulating each other so they can feed their narcissistic egos. And somehow this is supposed to increase their own self-worth?
“You like me. You really like me.”
Screw that.
They really don’t want Americans to watch their trash anyway. No way am going to watch Boyhood or whatever the Best Picture was.
Pray America is waking
You know what, your probably right..as sick as that sounds it is Hollyweird we are talking about here
