The movie the Kingsmen was entertaining and had it bright moments....
This movie has a villain played by Samuel L. Jackson whose character is a sideways wearing hipster mega-billionaire who plans to take over the world. After having poured billions of dollars and years of his life pursuing the liberal and leftist dreams of climate change, he is shown talking with what is presumed to be President Obama.
At the climax of the movie, when the villain's plot is fully in motion, there is a nice twist on how the end comes to those who co-conspired with Jackson's character.
Those of you at Free Republic who enjoy a good spy movie will thoroughly enjoy the foiling of plot and the demise of all those involved in this plot to remake the world. It is a fitting end.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys an action drama movie, if only for the star power and a fitting end to a real life villain.
Sucked. Waste of my ticket. Yeah, going to get hell for this. So what.
I got a different take from this review in a village voice media free newspaper:
Crazy-Pants Spy Parody Kingsman Smartly Exposes Us as the Bad Guys
The most interesting comic-book movie of the past few years.

Those more devoted to the genre can debate whether Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman is the best comic-book movie of the past few years. What’s beyond argument, however, is that Vaughn has whipped up the most interesting one, the only to make ferocious, unsettling art out of the great contradiction of superheroic fantasy: jolly do-goodism and its brutalizing sadism.
Vaughn’s violence here is more florid, ingenious and giddily amoral than the provocations of Kick-Ass, his 2010 adaption of a comic co-created by Mark Millar, the troublemaking Scottish co-author, with artist Dave Gibbons, of the Kingsman comic series. Kingsman’s opening plays like British Sniper meets The Lego Movie: A pair of Taliban in the Afghan desert suffer rah-rah head shots, and then Western helicopters strafe their ancient palace, the rubble exploding out and morphing into the movie’s opening credits. Liberals who feel queasy about all that Arab-murdering should know that Vaughn bookends that mission with a climax targeting the worst of the West, the billionaires who might opt in to the just-the-swells new society of Atlas Shrugged’s Galt’s Gulch I won’t spoil it except to say the scene is wicked and rapturous...
Yeah, typical.

Did they do Louie Louie?
I’m looking forward to going. Is it teenager safe? I want to take my sons but my better half is... well, you know.
Another movie with Sammie Jackson in it. The boy has had such a tough life in America. Too many “racists” right Sammie?
There was a brief mention of anal sex that was totally out of place and I felt unnecessary in an otherwise flawless production. Oh, and it wasn’t gay.
LMAO !
So the Taliban are Arabs, who knew? I love getting lectured on racism by genius’ who tell me stuff like this.
Depends on the age... Anal sex joke.
Packed with F-bombs and a totally unnecessary shot of the princess’ naked butt up close. No Bond film needs these things, and this film didn’t either.
Yeah, and liberal use of the F-word. It was an over-all good movie (Colin Firth is fantastic in it), but was over-all rather coarse at times. The ''ending'' belonged in an episode of Archer.
I heard the movie portrays Christians as “Westboro Baptist Church” crazies, and it leads the audience to cheer when they are killed.
Sounds like sick propaganda.
No, it has a parody of Westboro in it. At least that’s how I interpreted it. I thought the movie was great fun.
Funny, I don’t remember the use of the F-word. Guess I was a sailor too long.
a similar ending could happen in real life... if Sarah Palin runs for and wins the office of the POTUS
:)
