"Dawn Bryan is seen through a broken sliding glass door in her 2 year-old daughter Addison Tortora's room Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 in Lithia. Home owner Dawn Bryan says that the neighbor north of her property was shooting an AK47 Saturday morning around 10:00 a.m. when several bullets hit her home. One bullet shattered the sliding glass door of her daughter Addison's room near the child's crib. Addison was not in her room when the bullet shattered her glass door."

The police don't really serve the function they used to.

To a certain extent, the police are not there to arrest the bad guys.
The police are there to intimidate the law-abiding citizens. It's about control.

“They got favorable treatment,” Bryan said Monday. “My house got blown up by an AK 47. “I have to tell you, I was hysterical at the time.”

The cops are not your friend here, lady. Especially since the shooter is a friend and buddy of the sheriff.

Make two calls. First, your insurance company. Then your lawyer.

Having this already in the press was a great start.

She should call the Public Integrity Section in the Department of Justice.

She needs to raise holy hell. Call the IS Marshalls or bathe.

Then again, when it comes to neighbors you have to really be sure you what you want to declare war over.

Bryan said she’s a single mother of 13 children, 10 of them adopted, and is struggling to make ends meet.

Sounds weird to me, something odd about this.

Sheriff’s officials say the case remains open and charges still could be filed.

,p> And hell could freeze over tonight. If I were a betting man, my money would be on hell freezing over.

By the same token, if it happened to be two kids from Dover that shot the house, they would be under the jail by now.

The case is not completed yet,” she said.

Yes, it is unless they can find some idiot to hang it on. And they will unload on them.

“That, she thought, was not the goat.”

Perhaps the quote of the day.

SUZIE opened up the back door of the limousine and looked at the back seat. That, she thought, was not the goat.

Bill Clinton pulled back the covers on the bed and gasped. That, he thought, was not the goat.

From the article “An AK 47 spent round lay on the floor of the porch, she said.”

um, what?

a spent round, like, you mean, a shell casing/ brass????

Or did she find a mangled bullet?

Did she walk next door, pick up brass and put it on her porch?

If a ‘round’ broke glass in a window, it would have stopped INSIDE her home, or passed right thru it.

Methinks something is amiss here.

Or it’s just REALLY bad reporting.

It’s good to be friends with the king.

The deputy and firefighter should be charged with reckless endangerment at a minimum.

OK ...

She says she’s a shooter herself, so this may be legit.

the round in the picture looks more like a mangled 9 mm than a 7.62 round.

Since they were apparently low velocity strikes, probably STOOPID ricochets.

Looks like the shooters were VERY irresponsible.

Dunno.
