I expect to get flamed by the Palin fan club, but this is one of the best summaries I've seen of why she should not be taken seriously as a candidate. It has nothing to do with her policies - it has do with how she conducts herself. I agree entirely that she was not treated fairly by the media in 2008, but she has done nothing but play into the image they've created for her ever since. Furthermore, quitting her term as Governor halfway through is a major red flag, and eliminates the credibility of the "executive experience" argument.

The author succinctly described why she cannot be elected.

I completely disagree.

I really hate it when my favorite politicians collapse into ignominious pasquinade. Damn!

What can you expect from a formerly conservative publication?

Consider, if you will, what happens to a person who suggests that Sarah Palin is anything other than saintly. Right off the bat, they are accused of disliking America or Alaska or conservatives or mothers or the working class or even women in general and then they are informed that their hatred is showing. That is something I would never do, not even to an anti-American, West-hating, misogynistic, mother-hating elitist bigot like the author. I'm a bigger person than that.

I would crawl over broken glass in the pouring rain to get to my polling place and vote for Sarah. So would Mrs. Genoa and the extended Genoa family.

One could say the same thing about the “National Review”.

National Review has been in the pockets of the RINO establishment for a long, long time—basically, ever since Bill Buckley died.

“National Review?” Which was so rhapsodically enamoured of Mitt Romney?
To hell with them. I regard them as just as much an enemy to my beliefs and values as I do MSNBC these days. I’ll stick with Palin.

I like Palin, but her time has passed. To me, it was during the ‘12 campaign season when she was said to be considering getting in, then Perry announced and her moment moment was gone. Just my opinion.

I expect to get flamed by the Palin fan club..Yeah. But a few of them have come to the realization that she's nothing more than a opportunistic huckster.

I’ve always supported SP, but watching that display was down right painful. I was embarrassed for her and found myself wishing she’d just stop.

I had the great honor of seeing Andrew Breitbart at a conference three weeks before he died. He had a lot to say about Gov Palin, most of it high praise.
He had the following to say about her detractors: "Those on the left who savaged Palin were animals. Those on the right who did not defend her were eunuchs. Those on the right that took part in her destruction were animals with no souls."
So which category he described fits you best
To: MinnesotaLibertarian
Since you are likely a Ron/Rand Pauler, don’t vote for her, just don’t sell yourself as unbiased. She is the only one willing to fight the media.
So far Rand Paul has been the worst candidate of the bunch.

Palin is one of a very short list of politicians I am willing to tune in to hear.
I suppose that makes me a member of the fan club.
That occurred to me the other day... I recorded the Iowa speeches. The only ones I listened to were Palin, Walker, Gingrich, and Cruz. The others I fast-forwarded through.
There is only a very short list of politicians I would consider voting for in the 2016 general election. As a Republican, I am only barely still inside the party. After the Boehner-McConnell episodes, I am pretty well burned out on these guys. A Romney or Jeb nomination would finish it for me, I think.
They needn’t bother running anyone besides Cruz. Cruz-Lee, Cruz-Palin, Cruz-Walker, Cruz-you-fill-in-the-blank.
