now that’s a shame...
Some one missed an opportunity here- Bradbury fans would probably have paid to have this a museum or something
It seems that whoever bought it did not realize the true value of what they had.
What a shame.
He never drove (despite living in L.A.) so they didn't get together all that much, but lots of phone chat and letters.
Wow, too bad.
I understand his childhood home in Waukegan, IL (aka “Green Town” in his novel “Dandelion Wine”) still stands.
They might find something in the walls! I hope they keep an eye out.

That’s what I was thinking.

The real estate was worth more than the existing homes.

The buyer is going to build a “REAL” house there! Location, location, location...
Dennis Miller’s Santa Barbara house is on the market. I’ll post a link if I can find one.
Cheviot Hills is a wonderful LA neighborhood. I think it’s OK for the house to be replaced by a more up-to-date home if someone wants to do that and can afford it. I toured the Hemingway home in Key West. It’s rather a different story, as that house is already the best house in the ‘hood. Also, Key West is rather a small town and Hemingway beards are common, Hemingway contests go on. He was and remains the main cultural attraction there.
But Bradbury is just one of many many cultural icons in LA and his home was nice but nothing out of the ordinary for that neighborhood. Alas.
Are his kids gone? Not wanting to be among the last somewhat normal people to turn the lights off in Kali?
Lots of black - ceilings, pool, etc. Said Harrison did drawings on the kitchen walls.
Carson asked what was Reynolds going to do about them. Reynolds replied, "I had them painted over."
