Nearly five years after it hit bestseller lists, a book that purported to be a six-year-old boy's story of visiting angels and heaven after suffering a bad car crash is being pulled from shelves. The young man at the center of The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven, Alex Malarkey, said this week that the story was all made up.
"I did not die. I did not go to Heaven," Alex Malarkey wrote. He continued, "I said I went to heaven because I thought it would get me attention. When I made the claims that I did, I had never read the Bible.

HBO and/or STARZ is running a movie based on that claim — Heaven Is for Real.
I wonder whether they will pull it.
I wonder whether the name is real or a pseudonym intended to paint the whole thing as a hoax or whether the hoax was created around the family name.
Quite possibly the ‘author(s)’ were doing some backroom snickering as the book and movie were being hyped.
Correction to previous post:
When I did a quick Google search, ‘Heaven Is for Real’ came up, as did ‘Kid Named Malarkey Lied About Going to Heaven’.
I had not seen the movie or read the book, but had seen the movie listed on the premium channels.

Suffice it to say that not everyone is offered an open door.
No one comes back from heaven or from the dead.
Well that must have taken a lot of courage to publicly confess like that.
It’s amazing the kind of tales people will believe on so little evidence.
They are hallucinations, my dear. sorry!
