Okay. I love seeing my favorite bands in concert. The older I get, the less I get out to shows. It would be great if concerts started at 4pm, instead of 10pm. That said, here is my short list.
Elbow
Jeff Tweedy
Bonnie Prince Billy
EmmyLou Harris
Hiss Golden Messenger
Robbie Fulks
Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplan
Robbie Fulks -- I'll Trade You Money For Wine
Delbert McClinton, Junior Brown.
Musikfest in Bethlehem PA - saw a lot of acts, my fave was “Hot Club of Philadelphia”, a Django Reinhart tribute band.
King Crimson - played crowd favorites from almost all their early albums, plus some.
That’s it really. Prices are too high for my blood.
I would love to see Junior Brown.
Million Dollar Quartet at the Cowen Center in Tyler. Raised a toast to the four musicians on 12/4/2014 to celebrate the 58th anniversary of that incredible night. The musical is the quickest 90 minutes I've ever experienced.
Yes. It’s on Jernee Mill road about three miles from where Keebler was located.
If you are not familiar with them yet: check out the Turnpike Troubadours
Arie Crowne Theatre in Chicago. Must have been the same year.
George Strait’s Cowboy Rides Away tour
Bridgestone Arena in Nashville
2 hours of Strait hits
12:00 noon or 12:00 midnight?
Cory Morrow at Gruene Hall
Byron Stripling who brought along Robert Breithaupt & Bobby Floyd with the Corpus Christi Symphony orchestra for a Christmas Event...$20!!!
Walked through Central Park while the Jazz Festival was going on with about 30 bands...on a beautiful clear and cool day
Mr Roberts and I took our adult children to see Joe Bonamassa in May (Christmas 2013 gift). only concert for the
year - next year probably will be no concerts.
I agree that week night concerts are not possible for me
unless I take the day after off. Can’t stay up late anymore. We made the Joe B concert a long weekend event for us.
Awesome concert!!!
Went to my 10 year old Granddaughter’s Christmas Band Concert.
ZZ Top
Rod Stewart
Santana
Hank Williams Jr.
Ted Nugent
Doobie Brothers
Boston
Cheap Trick
Journey
Also saw Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy for $25 bucks. It was a benefit for Team Jack. That there is some entertainment value for your buck.
On the docket for next year-
Blackberry Smoke
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
AC/DC
Van Halen (if the rumors turn out to be true)
Allen Toussaint
Jimmy Cliff
Lee Fields
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings
Acid Mother’s Temple
Levi Dexter
Royal Rhythmaires
Those Darlins
The Fleshtones
The Black Angels
Roky Erickson
Wanda Jackson
High school band, middle school band, and community band.
Hoping the Kinks and ELO each tour (they’ve announced) next year.
May see the Who (again) in 2015.
Fleshtones!! Love.
I’m glad you got to get out to some concerts! That’s awesome!
The closest I got to a concert this last year was the Irish band we had for a BBQ during the summer! They were a lot of fun and everyone had a great time!
Only been to 5 concerts in my 37 years. First was Metallica back in 1996 or 1997 then again in 2010. My cousin won tickets to see Zack Brown Band two years ago so I went with her and it was pretty lame compared to Metallica.
Saw Jason Boland and The Stragglers and Cory Morrow at THE STATE LINE BBQ restaurant in El Paso, TX.
May go see the Turnpike Troubadours here in Memphis in Feb.
