What did you get for Christmas? I asked Santa for a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I've got a perfect place for it in the garage. I can't ride it. I'm a menace to society when I'm on a motorcycle. Not because I carry a switchblade. I just crash all the time. I was looking at a motorcycle once, and it fell on me. Engine wasn't even running. Just fell on me. I really rode in my younger days. I rode into cars. I rode into trees. Once, I even rode into a hill. You'd think that you could see a hill from a long distance away and miss it, but, nope, I came around a corner and there was a hill and I smacked into it. And they don't give, much. Well, I asked for a Harley Davidson, and you know what I got? Holland. Now, what the heck am I supposed to do with Holland? Windmills and dykes and wooden shoes and the Hollandaise people. Have you ever tried to ride a windmill down Highway 101? Nothing but trouble there. I'll probably just re gift it and give it to my cousin David. Anybody else get a good present?
I tried to go to the Bermuda Rectangle. I flunked geometry.
Burma.....Burma.....Burma.....
Didn’t that get a new name? Isn’t that now Manhattan?
I asked for high taxes, massive unemployment, a national race war, erosion of the notions of “rights” by way of a judiciary that has turned against constitutional principles, erasure of “citizenship” via a fascist Executive, massive border invasions and emasculated representatives, poverty, hopelessness, sodomy, sin, sadness, debt, depression, and a broken old patriotic heart.
So I pretty much scored again this year.
ROFLMTO....that is too funny, especially that you are still using the Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi toilet paper, OH MY!
>> Burma... Isnt that now Manhattan?
Yeah, something like that.
It’ll be out by the curb Tuesday morning; swing by and pick it up if you think you can fix it.
I got the best things.
I spent some time with ‘she across the river’, inside a nice, quiet Chinese restaurant. I have not frequented the place since before all my ailments caused me a stay in a V.A. medical ward, followed by home health care since Spring. Of course, the folks there know both of us, and were just as happy to see me, as I them.
So, it was time well spent with company and friends, food well eaten, (with a carry out, too), and a notice that her grandkids have made me some Christmas cookies, and other meal fares, to be retrieved from her freezer.
All of this are things no supermarket, big box store, or catalog place could ever supply.
An angle grinder
Why, Hortense, you’re up in time for the cotillion!
Nothing, I’ve just been waiting all day to write that and I was running out of time.
I’d be careful asking for sodomy these days......
You did get the best things.
Well, nobody wants dull angles.
I know, I have been alone and abandoned for 6 years. From someone who constantly threw family parties, church parties, helped with anything I was asked to do, to being alone on Christmas Eve and part of Christmas Day even though I did nothing to warrant it is a shock and is horrifying. I saw the alone on Christmas thread and it was very sad.
If you feel abandoned then you need to find new friends.....there’s a scripture that says he places the lonely in families...maybe you need a new church family as well.
It’s difficult to advise people because one really doesn’t know what created the situations to begin with.
I am solo because to date that is what I choose, I have learned to enjoy my own company and if otherwise I have friends I also enjoy. But it was up to me to find those friends....and the Lord to put us together.
I’ve often said if I did not want to be solo over the Holiday, and had no family or friends I would certainly volunteer to the local food kitchen and the like.
The Christmas alone thread was hardly sad to me, rather a time where all came together FOR those who felt alone. As well we celebrated together.
Might be you need a mindset adjustment a little bit.
Those were certainly interesting times when they made
moonshine” etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if they still do so in the hill country.
Yes, He needs to place me in a family
I got a large helping of courage, and left my resignation letter on the bosses desk. Letter dated 12/25/2014. It was time.
Overall perfect day.
My new grandson was supposed to be here on Christmas Eve or Christmas. He finally came yesterday, the day after Christmas. ;) Good luck on yours.
