I am moving from Denver to TX but I don't know which town is better: SA or Austin? I am Catholic, but also middle class white. I want racial diversity, active economy and nightlife, safe town and a way to stimulate my life. I need a place Asthma and Allergy friendly.
Racial diversity and safety? Let me know where you find those coexisting.
Fort Worth is where you want to be. Tarrant County is the reddest large county in TEXAS.
Let me say this if you think you want to move to Texas:
1. Texas ain’t Colorado. If you’re looking for Colorado, you won’t find it here, go back home.
2. Texas is a very large state. There’s plenty of room for everyone. Try residing outside the city limits of the larger cities. While the larger cities are great places to work, the suburbs and rural areas can be very nice places to live and raise a family. Also there are some nice urban areas in the larger cities but they are usually restricted and more expensive.
3. Texas is conservative and patriotic. If you’re willing to accept our conservative values, cultural diversity, our history as a nation state, our frontier spirit of independence, and live with a few imperfections you will be welcomed to stay otherwise keep moving along. You may find what you’re looking for in some less conservative state, like New Yawk or Californica.
Austin is also in the valley and gets more rain which equals more allergens.

Maps are your friends. Austin is in Hill Country and nowhere near the Valley. Austin is also the liberal stronghold in Texas.
...except for Denton around the UNT...

Funny, but probably true today! .....I’m a grad of 1974 from NTSU (now UNT), after my stint on active duty in the Navy. At age 32, it was hilarious to watch the underclass students a decade or so younger than me trying so hard to be hippies and peaceniks! ......The coeds’ bra-less fad while wearing t-shirts did capture my attention, however.
Back to the original post... The DFW Metroplex area is fantastic. I grew up in Dallas and moved to the area between Dallas and Fort Worth in ‘69. Have lived in Grapevine near the DFW airport since ‘86 and love it.
I regularly took a little natural antifungal, and it was simple:

Very interesting posting!
Wisdom!
Try New Braunfels, almost half way between SA and Austin on IH35, with a population of almost 60k. Very close to Canyon Lake.
Welcome to Texas. Now go home!
Are these mutually exclusive generally?
Must be some place else. Stafford is on the southwest edge of Houston.
Do they get the "green fog" like we do in spring from pine pollen?
California is the place you ought to be.
Dittoes on New Braunfels. I’m a life long resident of SA, but if given the choice of moving to SA or Austin - I’d split the middle and move to New Braunfels.
“...subpoenaed preachers sermons because they opposed the queer friendly laws...”

That was Houston and the queer mayor who did that.
You do know that newbies CAN’T reply, right?
Yes move to california! We need more conservatives. My son goes to college in Longview TX and they get that green/yellow haze from all the pollen. Also the ground turns greenish/yellow when it all settles. Good luck on the allergies.
You can’t keep a car clean in spring here, it’ll get a coating of lime green pollen dust very quickly. Some years are worse than others. I’ve had gutters get clogged with it before. I’m fortunate not to have pollen allergies, but as the years pass there’s something fall blooming that’s begun to affect my sinuses.
I thought it was at the edge of hill country.
