My Favorite part:
Siegford said the dead coyote was joined Wednesday by the hanging body of a dead raccoon.
"12 days of christmas... a skunk next? what?" she said in a Facebook comment.

I don’t get it.
Glad to see of a dead coyote.
Why hang it up like that?
And, a display may not be illegal, but the fact that it will decompose and be a health hazard would seem a legal issue,

LOL.
Here, the coyote population could stand to be decimated at the least, near annihilated at best.

I thought it has long been the habit of some to hang predators, i.e. wolves, coyotes, on fences, etc. to ward of other such predators. I wonder just how long Mary Ellen Siegford has lived in Montana and if she is a recent liberal import.

Up in a remote mountain range in the Great Basin, I came across a deer leg (strung by twine) hanging from a juniper limb. There was a homemade sign on the tree that read: Bambi Leg Camp.
Nothing else there.

I like the “animal cruelty” part. Hanging an already dead animal is now “cruel”.

One time a relative was working for a cable company in West Texas. Some marketing MBA came into their company and wanted to create a mascot—The Cable Coyote.
When he pitched it to the staff, the reaction wasn’t what the guy expected.
One of the tech guys said, I don’t know where you are from, but when people see those dogs around here they shoot them. I don’t think we need any more pressure on us getting to appointments on time.

I think it's just disrespectful.
Yes, we need to kill animals, and killing anything is not pretty - but give them some dignity.
Think God is pleased with treating His creation like that?

The photo is a little jarring, but if it is on private property and the animal was killed humanely, the owner of the carcass should have every right to hang it up.
I find the photo jarring, in view of Friday's conviction of 19 year-old crack addict Nicolino Camardi, convicted of torturing and killing a two year old Siberian Husky named 'Shadow' and a six month old kitten named 'One Tooth', after purchasint them on Kijiji. Many times, when an animal is tortured and killed, the torturer 'graduates' to humans, for example, Jeffrey Dahmer, Albert DeSalvo (the Boston strangler) and David Berkowitz (Son of Sam).
Link to the news report on the conviction:
At least 'Shadow' and 'One Tooth' are no longer suffering and hopefully, they are with God, at peace.

We used to see dead coyotes hanging on fences near ranch gates all over the West. We even saw several golden eagles and a mountain lion years ago.

Wow. Just last week, I posted here that this summer I hung a squirrel in effigy on one of my pear trees after 5 years of them terrorizing my pears. Shot that sucker with a pellet rifle, and hung him up with 2 sections of string. After his carcass dried out a little, he swung it the breeze pretty nicely.
Guess what? His friends and family decided to leave the rest of my pears alone. Also guess, it is a good thing it was far enough away from the view of a school bus.

A dead Yote is a good Yote. I don’t go out the door now without a weapon. I see one and I can safely get a shot off it’s a dead Yote.

Oh and a raccoon is as big a nuisance as a Yote. They will turn on a person without warning once they loose fear of humans. Unless a person has a fondness for Rabies treatments it’s best to shoot on sight if possible if around your house. The safest wild animal around your home? The Possum. They may show their teeth but their body temp is usually too low to carry Rabies as I understand it.
