by Dave Jolly Disneys anti-God agenda was made very evident recently when they censored and reprimanded a 10 year old girl just for mentioning God and her church. Lily Anderson of Angier, North Carolina was on the Disney Channels website. It was her birthday and she was happily answering questions on the website. When Lily got to the question that asked her what the most important things in her life were, she typed in: God, my family, my church and my friends.
Responses are posted online for others to read and Lily was excited to let them know that God and her church were important to her, but her excitement was quickly ruined. A popup screen appeared on her computer that reprimanded her for using offensive language and asked her to please be nice.
Lily was confused and had no idea why the site would not accept her answer so she went and got her mom, Julie Anderson. Julie told the media: It was Lillys idea alone to include God in her post. As a matter of fact, she was in another room from me, and she came and got me when it wouldnt allow her to post.
Julie wasnt sure why her daughter was being censored by the Disney website, so they started entering different words that Lilyhad used. When they typed in God, the warning popped up. Julie was upset that a company that calls itself family friendly and runs a pro-family operation would tell a child that God is offensive. Speaking to the media, she said: Weve always told her that inevitably there would come a day when she would be discriminated against for her faith, but we never thought Disney would be the source. I just dont want children to feel like theres something wrong or theres something in sharing their faith with their peers.
When asked about how she felt, Lily responded: They made me feel a little bit bad because I couldnt write it because Gods the reason that we have all the stuff that we have.
Disney tried to justify their censoring of God by issuing this explanation: [It was blocked] because so many people attempt toabuse the system and use the word God in conjunction with profanity. In an abundance of caution, our system is forced to catch and prevent any use of the word on our website.
Julie Anderson responded to Disneys justification, saying: In a way, its understandable what theyre trying to prevent, but a big red message that tells a child that its not nice to be thankful for God might not be the best way to handle that. I want my daughter, and all children of faith, to know that it is OK to share God and Jesus with their peers. I want her to know that she doesnt have to be silent about her faith. I want her to be strong and soldier on.
Some may accept that explanation but from what Ive seen from Disney over the years, I dont buy it all. In fact, it sounds like a pretty lame excuse to justify their anti-God agenda. I said it before and Ill say it again that Christians need to boycott Disney and let them know why. Hurt them in their profits and by sharing your concerns with others.
Try posting “Allah” or “Mohammed”.
I’ll venture that you’ll have no problems.
Wasn’t Pluto the Greek god of the underworld?
The company that gave America and the world Miley Cyrus.
Disney didn’t tell a 10 y.o. God is offensive. It blocked a comment containing the word “God.” Offense was inferred by the family.
Disney is TRYING to avoid offense and controversy. Suppose someone puts up a post, “God is a fairy tale” or “Heaven - land of make-believe.” Then a lot of ten year olds will feel bad, and the religious will get their dudgeon going.
Someone else writes “God loves you - He wants you to be straight.” A whole nother crowd gets worked up.
More likely:
OH MY GOD!!!
Someone is going to be offended no matter what is said or posted, but it seems they are picking favorites when it comes to who is on the giving & receiving ends of what is “offensive”.
..............wanna bet you would not be blocked by Disney for writing “pedos love children”...................or “gays love you” or whatever.................
Disney has blocked use of the word “God” pure and simple...........all other explanations about it coming from them are pure pablum...............!
Evil, Pure Evil.
that too. but Disney’s software could be programmed to eliminate “OMG” and “God d-—” and other stock profanities, and people could still write perfectly civil sentences that offend others.
Disney’s response is bologny. There is no need to censor the word God and say it is because of other offensive words it might appear with, just censor the other offensive words.
The truth is any national company is essentially godless, just as the government. And that's probably not a bad thing.
The bad thing is when the people are godless.
Disney World:
1. Nights of Joy: a celebration of Christian music
2. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
3. Candlelight Processional.
4. Osborne Family Festival of Lights.
5. Every Park, every resort decorated for Christmas from Halloween to New Year’s.
Using an internet filter to make a larger argument of intent is silly.
Well, that was perfectly heinous! :-(
Well I'll be Allahdamned.
Maybe.
But that was Disney wishing kids a Merry Christmas.
“Julie was upset that a company that calls itself family friendly and runs a pro-family operation”
That was before Walt Disney died in 1964.
Who would let their young daughter post about herself in a place where pedophiles are likely to hang out? A place that has centered itself around homos while pretending to be a business in service to children and families.
When Christians come to realize that Disney is anti-God and perverted, Disney will go out of business in the US. Nature abhors a vacuum so when Disney became anti-God, evil moved in. I would rather Christian parents and children find out sooner than later.
