Newsmax TV is running a show on JFK that is a world premiere. Sounds interesting as a guy on the show admits to having killed JFK. You can watch it at the link.

Mozilla, I have always paid attention when something regarding Kennedy’s death came along. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t see this guy talk, but I think I’ve seen him before, probably in the 3 to 4 year range.

I’ve seen a very good case made that a foreign hit team was called in from Italy. I just don’t know what to make of it.

I have heard one guy talk about there being a mob hit. This is probably the guy. I can really make a determination on it, so I understand anyone else thinking highly of it.

I’m not able to say this or that couldn’t have happened.

It is all interesting to me. I appreciate you bringing this to my and other forum participants attention.

Very interesting.

The more you mention these things, the more it sound very familiar. Hey, it’s an interesting tail. Who knows, it could be legit.

good points. Certainly one takeaway “could” be was the SS protocol had to start changing in order for the hit to happen. It is hardly a great leap of imagination to think that there were other dress rehearsals for Dallas, or aborted attempts when the conditions just didn’t line up. It makes sense really...a few weeks before, you start this new practice of slowing the motorcade down to nothing. No one protests. No one gets killed...but no one protests.

Ergo...you keep pushing the envelope as it were. Then there’s the Big Day.

More unlikely coincidences...

This is a strange but true story that proves that great men indeed repeat themselves, that greatness indeed follows the same pattern.

The facts depicted here are strange almost to the point of incredibility.

Both of the great men we will tell you about are concerned with the triumph of good over the black forces of evil.
Both of these great men are rich,
And both of these great men have searching blue eyes.

The name Lyndon contains 6 letters.
The name Batman contains 6 letters.

At Batman’s side stands the Boy Wonder.
At Lyndon’s side stands the Wonder Boy.

The names Robin and Hubie each contain 5 letters.
The names Washington and Gotham City each contain 10 letters.
The names Riddler and Wallace each contain 7 letters.
The names Mr. Robert S. McNamara and Commissioner Gordon each contain 18 letters.
The name Castro lacks one letter having the same number as Penguin.
The names The Bat Plane and Air Force One each contain 11 letters.

Batman’s Batmobile is in reality an experimental model Lincoln Continental.
Lyndon’s Lincoln Continental is in reality an experimental Batmobile.

Behind the Caped Crusader stands a young bird named Robin.
Behind the Tall Texan stands an old crusader named Byrd.

Bank robbers tremble when Batman spreads his net.
And bank presidents tremble with what Lyndon nets from his spread.

If you subtract the year of Lyndon’s birth, which is 1908, from the year he graduated from high school, which is 1924, you get 16.
Add 16 to 36, because Lyndon is the 36th president, and you get 52.
There are 52 weeks in a year, 7 days in a week.
Add 2 for the number of family beagle hounds and you get 9.
The square root of 9 is 3.
Divide this by a wife and two daughters and you get 1,
And there is only one Batman.

GREAT MEN REPEAT THEMSELVES
As recited by Jethro Burns, on the Homer & Jethro album “Wanted for Murder” (1966)

Lyndon Johnson was a POS, about as bad as Obama.

My own view - not that it matters - is that there were a whole lot of shooters, and various compartments of plotting, but all of it was under the direction of LBJ. He was one ruthless psychopath.

We seem to get one of those in the Presidency every 50 years.

Ours is Obama.

Don’t forget, the “magic bullet” wasn’t so magic if the conspiracy theorists would simply read the Warren Report, instead of claiming to have read it, and understand the rear seats were up higher than the front. Even the Discovery Channel (or was it TLC or A&E. They’re all the same to me.) was able to reproduce the shots exactly down to the bullet just laying on the gurney.

As you said, Oswald was more than capable of doing this himself, and he had a desperate need to please what he saw as his Communist overlords.

I also stood in the window of the book depository. Easy shot. In fact, I could have thrown a rock and hit JFK in the head it was so close.

I agree. I mean if it want’ Oswald how did his rifle show up at the window and why was he carrying his pistol and shoot officer Tippett. One nutty point the conspiracy theorists make that is so falser it that Kennedys head should of fallen forward if he were hit from the back. But according to the report he was hit in”the right rear”. it was behind the point where the head pivots and therefore the back of the head should go forward pushing the front of the head to the side that it id. anyone can prove it just by putting you finger against your head at that location in just a few seconds.

Oswald’s scope was a 10X?

My mistake. It was 4X.

I don’t think so. Oswald was described as a mediocre shooter.

He got some really lucky bounces with his ricochets, though.

What I found notable was Files reference to “the Fireball” that he says he made the shot with. The Remington XP-100 in .221 Fireball is a little known specialty pistol. It would be well suited to the shot claimed.

I sort of missed that.

Didn’t he talk about looking through the scope? Did he scope a pistol?

Scopes were the way to shoot those. They were long range target/hunting single shots.

Who is mentioned sometimes is Lucien Sarti, actually a Corsican (Italian, close-enough I guess).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucien_Sarti

“On October 25, 1988, the British television program The Men Who Killed Kennedy named Sarti as one of three French gangsters involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.[3] According to the program, Sarti, Roger Bocagnani, and Sauveur Pironti were contracted by organized crime in the United States.[3] In the French newspaper Le Provençal, Pironti denied the allegation stating he believed at the time of the assassination that Sarti was held in Marseille’s Baumettes Prison and that Bocagnani was in Bordeaux’s Fort du Hâ.[3]”

And other info on that webpage. Yes, Sarti has shown up in a lot of the assassination conspiracy theories.

Thanks BeadCounter. I appreciate the comments and link.

Ultimately, I’m not comfortable with most of these theories.

I can’t say they aren’t true. I simply can’t say they are either.

I take in what is mentioned and file it away.

I think that some of these theories grow legs, Secondary people hear about them and embellish them. Some people exploit it for money. Others are amateur sleuths and aren’t discerning enough. (perhaps)

There is a pretty good narrative on Oswald himself, the things he did, was supposedly consumed by, that lead a person to think he was the lone gunman too. I don’t buy into that either, at least not completely.

It’s one of those things we’ll probably never know the truth of.

I do have a very hard time thinking a guy with as high a profile as Johnson had, would have been involved in this.

“Wasn’t Oswald a Marine? Do they produce mediocre marksmen?”

Well, for one thing, Oswald had not been in the Marines for several years by the time of the assassination. Also, the Mannlicher Carcano was a cheap, inaccurate Italian-made bolt action rifle that was more a carbine than a sniper rifle. NO WAY Oswald could have made those shots, with that rifle, in the time involved.
