Last night Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for President Obama and the Democrats at her ritzy home in Brentwood, California. Paltrow is worth $140 million dollars and was raised in a rich, privileged family before making her way to the big screen. But that didn't stop her from classifying herself as a "working mother" concerned about equal pay for women, an issue Obama has been dishonestly harping on.

I’ve learned time and again that wealth and intelligence have very little to do with one another except in the rarest of circumstances.
If that company existed, they would have incredible profit margins due to lower labor costs than the competition. Every other company would be trying to steal their qualified, lower cost labor and would offer them more. Competitive free markets have a miraculous tendency that way.
Well, Robert Downey Jr made over $50million for Iron Man 3, and she didn’t get anywhere near as much.
It would be wonderful if we were able to give this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.
That right there is the essence of political liberalism.
Give the elite all the power they need to make things perfect for everyone.

I’m thinking she is lobbying for the attorney general position, if not that, she has her eyes set on an ambassadorship appointment to stupid.

If they enact Equal Pay legislation, all it means is that fewer women are going to get hired.

What is meant by equal pay? Who doesn’t get equal pay? Everywhere I worked had equal pay. If you are a piece worker on any assembly line you get equal pay. If you work for the Gov’t you get equal pay. The job pays $8 an hour or it it pays $25 an hour you get equal pay based on performance and production. As a school teacher I earned the same amount as a female teacher when I was hired. Equal Pay?? It has to be a hyped myth. When I hear of it, I only think of Ivan who produced 10 pairs of shoes a week demanding the same amount of pay as Vlad who produced 30 pair a week. (Sounds Union inspired)
No she does not. When women can preform the same physical requirements as a Fireman, LEO, or Military with out special treatment, then they deserve the equal pay. IF you can’t stay out of those professions.

She has nannies, house keeper, cook, etc.
I worked 40 hrs a week in a crappy factory, and was a divorced single mom with 2 boys, for a decade who did it all. Our clothes came out of rummage sales, not out of Sax 5th Avenue like hers does. Or some fancy designer.
