All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

Welcome home! Odd how one person can create such a hole with absence...
I’m still in Neverland, waiting. Tomorrow I see the podiatrist just down the street, then will go home from there. Whodathunk I could be homesick 13 miles from home?
This morning I’m watching some programs on the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, and they are not quite like any war docs I’ve ever seen. I keep thinking of when my grandson was in Afghanistan, in Kandahar Province. Touching.
Busdaddy is on his 5-mile walk. I think that’s excellent, but I would never be able to do that distance.
I think I walked five miles just this morning, during many trips to the van with our things and others’.
After Mass I have to go to Walmart. Maybe after that, I can have some happy Jake-y time. At least I’m CLEEEEEEEEN.
After an epic campout you don't do the wash the day you return home.
You spread it out on the back deck to air for a day or two before you bring it inside and wash it.
If I had the money for the accessories, I’d have Busdaddy take me to the shelter and get a kitten today. But then. I’m glad I don’t have the money for it, because the last thing I need is a cat to scratch my furniture and climb my lace curtains...
Still, I try to balance that with the BP lowering qualities of a cat...which makes it much more tempting.
It wasn’t an epic campout. Tom goes on those. My fourth load of laundry is in. Now that we’re back from church, I’m going to get Kathleen up and go to Walmart next. The guest priest from Colombia was long-winded. It’s a warm day; I got to wear my new blue dress.
The Pack from Blair Road UMC, in the campsite next to us, had their pastor with them and had a service in camp before they loaded up, but we had to actually get to church.
My here is here now.
What’d I miss?
The recipe must use real butter and natural vanilla extract and the cake must be moist or it's as re-giftable as a fruitcake.
I could live with that.
My breakfast was lunch.
My breakfast was a cup of Diet Coke.
Sitting at work, boooooooored.
You could always go over to Home Depot...
That was the genius last night in my truck entrance who read our truck entrance sign but still thought he was at home depot.
Look on the bright side. Not too long from now, Google Drivers may be bringing shipments to you.
Maybe they can bring you stuff.
“But I didn’t order five thousand yard flamingoes!”
Followed closely by Amazon drones dropping off stuff because the gps sez...
And you won't even be able toargue with them...
Neither did they. It was supposed to be five thousand lawn jockeys...
Isn’t technology wonderful?
Lawn jockey?
Check the whitehouse, seems to be one misplaced.
Clearly, the only logical thing to do is to switch warehouses.
Tell everyone the GPS Coordinator said it had to be.
Tee shirt: “I got amazonbombed”
Amazombed?
