All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

No, but he got fluoride.
OK, I really did laugh out loud to that. That probably says something about me. Something bad.
Darksheare thought it would make the technicians friendly and cooperative.
That part worked.
They just couldn't get that they could now carry things in their hands. Some diagnostic tools react strangely after being carried by mouth...
And they get excited and chase the spiderbots ... but the old technicians were such grouches, I think it's a break-even situation, if not an improvement.
Oh hai. I had a nap.
My Nook is working again.
I’m having some soup and crackers.
Did I miss anything good?
Nothing major. I’m glad you had a nap and your Nook is working.
I’m drinking $2.87 wine and eating Cheez-its.
Welcome to the “terrible human repository”, take a seat and await a customer service rep to come and answer all questions.
As an added bonus, you receive: glowing eyes!
They might not be yours, they might be in your sink at two in the morning, they might even be attached to a cat, but they sure do glow!
(Keep conversations close to the vest with cats around, they....listen. “ for it is theirs to see everything, hear everything, and know everything.”)
/ kidding.
I told the lab boys that we meeded waterproof diagnostic equipment.
They merely smiled, drooled, and barked at me.
*sigh*
The barking is a bad sign.
Hey! Maybe I can go get some $2.97 wine and some Schneider’s! Oh wait. I’ll pass on the Schneider’s. Maybe I’ll pass on the wine, too, as I don’t want to go anywhere.
Tomorrow, I have to go wash clothes. Not looking forward to it. But I have to do it.
I’ll get some $2.97 wine on the way home. Yes, it’s higher, here.
It’s $2.97 at Walmart, but $2.87 at Harris Teeter. There’s a HT near the dentist. They also have Cheez-Its 2-for-1 this week.
Then I will go to Kroger and see if they have it. That .10 cents could make a real difference.
I got a phone call a while ago from the pharmacy. I have two prescriptions waiting for me. *sigh* Always something.
Next Friday I have an appointment with the podiatrist, but it is close to Busdaddy’s so I will be there on Thursday, after Shawn leaves. I could walk there, if I wanted; getting back on the bus would be a hassle.
I lied. The appointment is on the 27th.
Tom has a dentist appointment on the 27th. Fillings.
Ugh.
I’m not fond of dentists. But I have to get this thing taken care of at UNLV dental school. I need a surgical release from my doctor but I can’t get an appointment with her until Nov.
dentists are the devil!
heh
