Hi Trisham, love the Dr.Seuss quotes!
All: Thanks for the cheerful fellowship here everyday! What a nice thing to have in our crazy upside down world.
Cheers!

Way to go, Marissa! Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Amy, for the sweet reminder of all that we have to be thankful for....and to take nothing for granted.

Heartbreak And Hope
When American country singer George Jones died at the age of 81, his fans remembered his remarkable voice and his hard life and personal struggles. While many of his songs reflected his own despair and longing, it was the way he sang them that touched people deeply. Chicago Tribune music critic Greg Kot said, His voice was made for conveying heartbreak.
The book of Lamentations records Jeremiahs anguish over the nation of Judahs stubborn refusal to follow God. Often called the weeping prophet, he witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem and saw his people carried into captivity. He wandered the streets of the city, overwhelmed by grief (Lam. 1:1-5).
Yet, in Jeremiahs darkest hour, he said, This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lords mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness (3:21-23).
Whether we suffer for our own choices or from those of others, despair may threaten to overwhelm us. When all seems lost, we can cling to the Lords faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore I hope in Him! (v.24).
Im thankful for Your faithfulness, Father, even
in the times when I am unfaithful. Help me to
remember, like Jeremiah, that my hope comes
from You, not from my circumstances.
The anchor of Gods faithfulness holds firm in the strongest storms.
The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia says: Jeremiah was called by the Lord to the office of a prophet while still a youth (1:6) about 20 years of age. . . . At first he probably lived in Anathoth, and put in his appearance publicly in Jerusalem only on the occasion of the great festivals; later he lived in Jerusalem, and was there during the terrible times of the siege and the destruction of the city.

Thank you Mayor for faithfully sending these devotions.
Wow did this really minister to me this morning.
For the past two months we have been in a major crisis.
Grandson let my upstairs bathtub overflow for 45 minutes...bringing water crashing into our living and dining room, into my grand piano and causing a mess in our home.
Because of the age of our house , we have had to have lead and asbestos hazmat crews, and we have been hoteling it for two weeks now, and possibly another month.
Talk about times of frustration and tears.
This morning I decided to walk back to Amy’s Place and visit Our Daily Bread and the famous “cuppa coffee” and it sure was a tonic for my soul..

LOL... I didn’t read your comment about “ having a warmer weekend” before I sent the comment “ Winter is coming soon”...
Sheesh....well what ever season pleases you...I am a fall/winter person so delighted that we may see some rain soon.
Of course I’ve never lived in snow country and my friends that do, want to tar and feather me when I wish for winter.

Thank you MEG33 for the response. I seem to have missed it THE DAILY BREAD and not been pinged for several days. It is bit by bit comforting and a blessing. Today I am pinged. Glad to say.
God bless America, and let us pray for those not knowing or understanding God’s WORD, to come to faith, in Jesus name, /amen.
Hallelujah!
