A KFC member of staff refused a customer a hand-wipe as it might offend muslim people.
The incident happened at a branch in Leicester which is taking part in a ‘halal’ trial.
Halal means ‘lawful’ in Arabic and as hand wipes are soaked in alcohol, which is forbidden by the Quran, KFC in St George’s Retail Park said it could not offer the customer, Graham Noakes, 41, one.
“They told me it might offend other customers,” said Mr Noakes.
“I explained that it wouldn’t affect me. In fact - I told them I like alcohol, so it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.”
He said he was disgusted at being refused and would not be going to KFC again.
He added: “Why shouldn’t I be allowed a wipe for my hands?”
“They use wipes in hospital. What happens when we start being told we can’t have wipes there?”

Whenever I read a story like this the first thing I check for is whether it is in the US. Our constitution is quite unique and I don’t expect to see it here (or at least last once it becomes news).
So far all of the stories like this are from europe.

So alcohol is not allowed for muslims. To drink, I understand. For cleanliness, that is idiocy.

I never thought about Muslims and KFC...I guess it is a fit after all...I mean, they do behead the chickens before they cook them...
And I am offended that I was not able to have one or two. Don’t they eat with their fingers? How do they clean them? Suck their fingers? Or like most intelligent people, use the restroom to wash your hands.

Maybe if he asked for a wipe for his left hand only they would have given it to him. :>)

Only a filthy hypocrite would be offended by a hand wipe and not by neck slicing.

Alcohol hand wipes sound like a good idea for people that use their bare hand to wipe their butt.
As usual, the barbarians tell the civilized people what to do. And the spineless “civilized” people do it.

Their food is really pretty awful. Lousy tasteless chicken of almost indistinguishable pieces with greasy breading and skin, with very little meat.
Probably Chinese chicken.
Rubbing alcohol is forbidden? I guess you can’t expect much from troglodytes. How have these people ever functioned on even a basic form of society?
I don’t like alcohol hand wipes. They’re very drying. But there are places to get hydrogen peroxide hand wipes. Some hospitals are using them, too.
