NFL PING!................
I’ve given up on figuring out the officials and the NFL chatterotsi (announcers). Last year, New England’s Talib was praised for great coverage on the Saint’s TE. In the video where they were showing the great coverage, Talib had his hands all tangled up in Graham’s jersey and shoulder pads, effectively keeping him from running a route.
That they did. The horse-collar call was wrong too ... anybody know if that's reviewable? It was pretty obvious from the film.
If they would have a camera on every single player, and 22 officials watching the play of every player, they could call defensive or offensive holding on EVERY play.
Wwwaaahhh! There is holding on every play. The refs call it when they see it, or when it’s especially egregious. The horse collar penalty was a bad call too. Why didn’t the Colts challenge it? Their defense could have responded by not letting Darren Sproles run over them like the second coming of Barry Sanders. Give the Eagles their due. They hung in there and fought their way back.
It may have been a bad non-call and yes the refs have been horrible but the Colts should’ve ran the ball, run some time off the clock, kick the FG and you’re then up by 10 points with around 4 minutes to go. Why is Luck trying to be a gunslinger on a 3rd and 9 late in the game when you’re in field goal range and in a position to go up by 10?
Every week I get more and more disgusted with NFL officiating....
At some point they will lose me as a viewer....
How can a receiver catch a ball, plant two feet in bounds and as he falls forward bobbles the ball for a second, lands on the ground with possession.....and not be a good catch....
I’ve seen this at least half dozen times this year...
I had long hoped that the NFL was moving in the direction that the winning team would get to keep the other teams cheerleaders. I guess that’s out.

Looking at the video, I don’t think the receiver would have made it back for the ball. That was a badly off-target throw.
The NFL is pretty much unwatchable these days.
And college football is quickly heading in that same direction.
There is randomness in every effort. I think of sports officials as simply one more element of the game like a bad bounce or a slippery surface. In any sort of game, in any sport, both teams need to deal with the same imperfect officiating.
I’m not a fan of either of these teams and have no dog in this fight. A blown call is a bad break but a careful watcher will find at least one bad call in almost every game. Boxing refs do a great job and basketball refs are a close second. I think the bigger the venue the more blown calls occur.
Hilton wasn’t held — if anythng, he was pushing off.
The officials are ruining the sport, pure and simple!
Colts suck because of its owner. Never forgive him for flapping his gums about Rush becoming a part owner in the RAMS. Then got stuck with Stan Kroenke, worst owner ever- even worse than Jerry Jones.
