Breaking but officially announced by daughter.
RIP
And that’s all right by me...
Joan Rivers was controversial at times but she was always a staunch voice for Israel, and was not afraid to call out Hollywood wackos for their anti-semitism. Thank you, Ms. Rivers.
RIP Joan.
That is why you do these kind of procedures in a hospital setting. Some doctors like Profofol because the second you remove the needle the patient wakes up and can go home. I would NEVER have Profofol done, after Michael Jackson(Which I know was a different circumstance) still I would never do it. She flew from LA to NY to get this “Simple” procedure done and it cost her her life
This is a darn shame. I liked her, as did my mom. It was obvious there was a lot of love in that family.
That’s why you hear the expression...”They died on the operating table”.....or ...”They didn’t make it out”.
Out of the anesthetic....
My aunt saw her a few months back here in LA, she was giving one of her usual performances. She was absolutely HILARIOUS..my aunt said she was running around on stage like she was 10 years old. You would never have guessed that she was 81..full of life and cussed a blue streak..and she was very friendly, she wasn’t two faced, a genuinely good person
>>I thought she was as funny as rectal cancer.<<
Her style of humor was very aggressive. For some, perhaps too much so.
But millions of adoring fans who will miss her (heck she was working up to the time she went into the hospital) obviously liked that style and hew EXTREMELY sharp wit.
She was best when she was winging it.
Probably not...people don't understand that you're being kept alive by machines under anesthetic.....at 80 yrs old ‘the body ‘doesn't easily come out of it regardless of the one administering it.
I didn’t care for her humor either...too brash and delivery likewise. So I never watched her except in passing so to speak.
i think Propofol is what killed Michael Jackson, another case of OD.
Hard to tell what when wrong but I suspect bigtime malpractice suit coming.
Botched routine endoscopy.
It really is a shame. BTW, her daughter was receiving death wishes from palestinian-supporters in the last week, because Joan mentioned Gaza in a way not to their liking.
-------------------------------->
Loved it when she would yell at someone who was complaining about something she had said:
"OH, GROW UP!"
RIP.
I loved her for her sense of humor, non-political correctness, her incredible energy to keep going and working harder than everyone around her. She was a role model for all of us women as we age.
Her strong stance in support of Israel was great.
I feel sad and almost selfish about how much I’ll miss her. She was truly one of a kind and nobody can replace her.
She went on Fox with her own program...only lasted a couple years..but Carson thought this was betrayal.
Oy vey!
You make an interesting point. Both of these legends were known for their their wit - their voices - and the laughter they generated (topics and targets notwithstanding).
Robin Williams death was from asphyxia - he choked his own throat; Joan Rivers went in for a throat/vocal chord procedure and never came back.
Something about the land being made desolate, the ceasing of the voice of mirth, the voice of gladness...
Hospitals are the most dangerous place on earth.
I concur....
This life is but a breath and then it’s gone.
Only with Jesus can we be insured eternity. Praying for her family....
I’ liked her humor.
It won’t be fashion week in NYC without her this year.
