A difficult math question. One would hope that these two did not finish high school. If they did, public education needs to refund our money.

Common Core will say it depends on whether the driver is white or black. The black driver will be stopped by police at least twice on the drive, so you will have to add at least 15 minutes per stop.
The white driver will be privileged to have a Lexus with all the modern conveniences, but the minority driver will be in a clunker that will overheat on the way, so add another 20 minutes for the radiator to cool down.

How can a nation survive when most of its citizens can not think well enough to do simple math let alone protect our God-given liberties?

As I get more desperate for a long car trip to end, I start calculating in my head the minutes to completion, usually based off of 85 (my typical speed).
For whatever reason, it’s easier when the miles-to-go are bigger than 85, so like 170 is “2 hours,” no thinking
But when the distance-to-go is smaller than 85, I start having problems.
Now, sitting here at a desk, I can do it, but driving somehow uses up that bit of my brain that I use to perform division and I get flustered. That, or I am tired from driving.
Regardless, it’s a way to pass time.
