I have spent a little time compiling links to threads about the Ebola outbreak in the interest of having all the links in one thread for future reference.
Please add links to new threads and articles of interest as the situation develops.
Thank You all for you participation.
I caught that as well.
It’s just assumed that WE will take up the slack.

Note how the Chinese healthcare worker is attired. Looks like full PPE to me. Not just a mask and gloves.
“Intending Christian pilgrims in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be subjected to multiple medical screenings by the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB).
Introduction of the multiple screening, according to the FCT administration is to ensure that the citizens embarking on the exercise were not embarrassed by their host countries for fear of causing health hazards to their citizens.”
And according to Ken Isaacs’ testimony before congress, Sawyer (described as the Nigerian/American who traveled to Lagos, Nigeria) walked through an Ebola isolation ward with a well-respected doctor (Brisbane?), who had earlier mocked the existence of Ebola to his co-workers. The doctor reportedly was examining patients in Monrovia with Sawyer present, and it sounds as if he may not even have been wearing PPE. “Both men were dead within a week.”
The denial was very, very prevalent.

Sawyer was Liberian/American.
Yes, that is why it was obvious who Isaacs’ was referring to in his testimony. He did not use his name.
Ack— meant to say, “It was obvious to whom Issacs was referring in his testimony.”
IIRC he was traveling with his US passport. Which explains partly the kid gloves treatment he got and the lack of ‘care’ used by the Nigerian medicos. They didn’t initially know he’d come from Liberia much less had held his sister who was dying of Ebola. And to quote one of the Nigerian ministers ‘he was quite economical with the truth’.
