The screening is a joke, if you can call it that. If a lot of these passengers that “look or feel sickly” are cleared to go because they have “tested” negative, yet would test positive in another 24-48 hours, are those “cleared” individuals going to assume that all is well because the suit at the airport gave him/her the thumbs up? In the meantime, they go about their business walking petri dishes, and why wouldn’t they? I don’t think one has to really think too hard to see the danger here.

Early last week, two soldiers contracted Ebola while working at the checkpoints. One is receiving treatment and another has fled. He still hasn’t been found.

When will the military begin to abandon their posts? This is Africa.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the world should not shun the people of West Africa.

In response to calls for the national carrier Kenya Airways to stop all flights to the three countries worst hit by the Ebola Virus Uhuru said “Ebola is there but we will conquer.We will defeat it.”

The President’s statement comes hours after Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni said the airline will not suspend flights to West Africa despite fears that the virus will spread to Kenya.

Kenya Airways will not suspend flights to regions worst hit by the Ebola virus, CEO Titus Naikuni said on Thursday.

Naikuni told a press conference at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport’s VIP lounge Thursday, that the flights to West Africa will continue despite calls to suspend them over fears that the virus will spread to Kenya

Naikuni said “KQ is a responsible citizen of this country and can’t knowingly put this country in danger Naikuni on Ebola Crisis”

“We are not doing whatever we are doing because of following money.” he added.”
