I have spent a little time compiling links to threads about the Ebola outbreak in the interest of having all the links in one thread for future reference.
Please add links to new threads and articles of interest as the situation develops.
Thank You all for you participation.
Predictable. After all, you can only catch it from (wink, wink) ‘bodily fluids’. Pity so many have come to translate that as code words meaning “having sexual contact” because of the homosexuals and HIV/AIDS. So many are going to underestimate how easily the pathogen is transferred because of that nonsense.
It sounds to me that MSF has been told "no more reporting"
or leave the country .
CDC is Lying
I spoke with my friends (both PhD molecular biologists) last night and asked them about the need for negative pressure hospital rooms for ebola patients. They both laughed and said, “Well, you just figured it out for yourself”. If ebola is not transmitted by air, there is no reason to confine patients in a negative barometric pressure room whatsoever.
Whoops! Looks like we have been lied to again.
I think it is time to put together a documented CDC/WHO Ebola lies thread.
Each time we run into one, it gets cleaned up (AKA 1. The lie told, 2. the organization the lie is from and 3. The media source) posted to that specific thread.
We are going to need it for the tar and feather party after the Ebola vaccines arrive in quantity.
Connecticut declared in state of public health emergency, prepares for quarantine

HARTFORD, CT) Governor Dannel P. Malloy today signed an order that gives the Commissioner of the Department of Public Health (DPH) the ability to effectively quarantine an individual or a group of individuals who may have been exposed to or infected with the Ebola virus.
The order is not being executed because a specific case has been identified, but rather as a precautionary and preparatory measure in the event that the state has either a confirmed infection or has confirmed that someone at risk of developing the infection is residing in the state.
We are taking this action today to ensure that we are prepared, in advance, to deal with any identified cases in which someone has been exposed to the virus or, worst case, infected, said Governor Malloy. Our states hospitals have been preparing for it, and public health officials from the state are working around the clock to monitor the situation. Right now, we have no reason to think that anyone in the state is infected or at risk of infection. But it is essential to be prepared and we need to have the authorities in place that will allow us to move quickly to protect public health, if and when that becomes necessary. Signing this order will allow us to do that.
By signing the order, the Governor is declaring a public health emergency, which gives the Commissioner of DPH the authority to quarantine and isolate individuals whom the commissioner reasonably believes has been exposed to the Ebola virus. Without the declaration, there is no statewide ability to isolate or quarantine instead, the authority rests with each individual local public health director.
While local health officials are certainly on the front lines of this effort, at the ready to address any situation, having this order in place will allow us to have a more coordinated response in the event that someone in Connecticut either tests positive for Ebola or has been identified as someone who is at risk of developing it, DPH Commissioner Jewel Mullen. We have had numerous conversations with both local public health officials in the state and senior officials at the Center for Disease Control. We have no reason to believe that anyone in Connecticut is infected or at risk of infection, but if it does happen, we want to be ready.

Well, that’s convoluted. Too many ‘posting comment’ tabs open...
If you think the CDC is lying, why would you trust their vaccines?
Thanks for back checking me. I wonder why MSF is scrubbing their website? What purpose does that serve?
Hopefully it is just a glitch.
Breaking on FOX: 2nd person in Dallas showing signs/symptoms of Ebola.
Had contact with Duncan, on the way to hospital. News conference at 3:30.
The homeless guy that they had to hunt down and forcibly quarantine, probably. Poor hygiene, not great health, more likely to have open sores to provide a means of infection.
I’m betting it’s a family member. Close and sustained contact.
Re: my 3276
That comment about this version of EVD having less hemorrhage than previous strains/clades, does this mean what I think it does?
That it delays the ravaging process upon the organs for a bit longer.
That it might allow longer period of mobility without obvious external signs flagging it as EVD as with Patrick Sawyer and others.
And that leads to the question, Have there been autopsy reports published in med journals/NIH/CDC? Seems that would be a high priority task to track effects different from prior strains/clades?
