During an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday, President Obama pushed back against House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) announcement that he would file a lawsuit against him, saying that the move amounted to little more than “a stunt.”
“The suit is a stunt…what I’ve told Speaker Boehner directly is: ‘if you’re really concerned about me taking too many executive actions, why don’t you try and get something done through Congress?’”
Obama went on to slam the House Speaker for his inaction on immigration reform, saying that its outrageous that Boehner squawks every time he acts through executive orders because Boehner refuses to act on a bipartisan Senate bill that was passed last year.
“I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something while they’re doing nothing,” Obama said.

Unfortunately, I’m afraid that it IS just a stunt. If Boehner really meant it, he would have impeached Obama years ago.
It’s just another Boner distraction, to pretend that he’s doing his job.
Obama must have been reading FR. I swear, either the Dems are giving talking points to some posters here, or some faux FReepers are posting Dem talking points.
I don’t know many FR posters I saw yesterday saying that this was just a “stunt.” Bammy just has to read FR to know the best way to attack.
Let me agree with the Obamanation: Sure it’s a stunt because the courts are so packed with liberals that nothing can come of it.

The court will determine that Boehner does not have standing and throw it out. So, yes, Obama is correct.
It’s just another distraction to make the GOP-e’s constituency feel like their politicians are doing something, when in fact they aren’t.

Harry Reid has stuffed his democrats in the Senate in the breach every time to stop anything that doesn't have the Obama stamp of approval on it.

I agree. If Boehner and the republican leadership were serious, they would start impeachment proceedings immediately.
He also did an interview with that Norah O’Donnell woman.
She was shaking her head up and down approvingly throughout the interview - it made me dizzy. I was waiting for her to ask Obama if she could kiss him.

Serious question: how does this work, is it like passing 400 repeals of Obamacare? Does it need Senate approval? I would like to up know how a lawsuit like this works. Anyone?

President Obama is the fulfillment of Stephen Fetchit.
Impeach the King would be the only answer. Even then if the House won the impeachment it would die in the Senate. But at least Bonehead would show he did try something worthwhile.
After the Republicans take the Senate in November, things are going to get very bad for the Big Zero. There there will be multiple special prosecutors, multiple sets of hearings on corruption of all kinds and public scandals as a lead up to the 2016 election season.
What is likely to be unearthed will force Democrats who want to run for President to denounce Obama and will force others to gasp and say we had no idea how evil he was.
The Big Zero is in for a real hard lame duck 2 years and it is going to get much worse for him. He is just trying to delay what is out there to minimize his pain and shame.
