Or maybe the Great White died a natural death and other sharks and smaller critters dined on the corpse.

If all they found was the tracking device...how can they just say he was eaten? Lots of stuff could have happened.

They updated the website and it turns out it was a CANNIBAL Great White Shark that ate the shark.

Could it be that the tracking device attracted a pirannah street gang?
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
According to what I read, this thing went to great depths before they found it, so that would imply a giant squid or something like that.

According to another article, the tracking device was tracked to a depth greater than the sharks ability to reach and then showed up on the beach.

Apparently, scientists concluded that a larger Great White ate the smaller tagged one. Why? That is what happens, with large Great Whites eating smaller ones.

Sharks are solitary, Killer Whales are the wolves of the sea, they are brutal and hunt in packs.
Maybe a group of bored killer whales decided to chew on some sharks...

I think you all need to read the article before commenting. Oh come on. That would take all the fun out of FR. :)
To: GeronL
I think the article states that the temp of the device went from 9C to 25C in moments, indicating ingestion.
