Did you happen to notice how THE most outspoken owner in the NBA, - Mr. Mark Cuban, suddenly fell silent when all the crap about Sterling broke loose...?

If the NBA is using rules endorsed and enforced by the collective owners of the teams through the NBA, he has the right to discovery to assure that they are not capriciously enforcing ‘rules’ they themselves might be intentionally overlooking.

The question raised by NBA’s Stephen A. Smith, Spike Lee, and several NBA players, current and past, is “Why is it taking so long to fire Donald Sterling?”

Ehhh, maybe because you can't fire an owner? You can fire an employee, but if the owner doesn't want to sell, then what?

Mark Levin also went over it and said the NBA was out of bounds in their choice to force him to sell. They are ignoring their own rules.

For one thing, the law is on Sterling’s side. Luckily we no longer believe in the rule of law, so the mindless mob may get its way. Or not.

This is a case that has been tried in public and Sterling lost,however as a court case it may be different. First of all the “evidence” is fruit of a poisoned tree, that is it was obtained illegally in the first place. I'm not sure it can be admitted in a court of law. Second, what exactly was so wrong with what he said? Taken out of context it seems damming, but in the context of an old man supplicating his whore to not make a fool of him - not so much.

This will be an awesome court case in any event a real Donnybrook.

The conspiracy claim in and of itself is sound. His mistress starts taping hours of calls and sends pictures of herself with girls flashing gang signs and known black philanders (Magic Johnson). She gets audio of him saying something construed as racist, immediately sends it to TMZ. There is a quick response to divest him of the team, and the guy in the photo that triggered it is the first to say “I’ve got a billion dollars in backing to buy your team”.

Don't limit it to owners. Expand it to include management, staff, coaches and players. I'm sure digging in THAT woodpile will uncover a few other bigots...

Depends on what he had to sign agreeing to in order to be allowed to own a team.
