The 12 episode format is inline with what we’ve been getting from the cable networks. Also, it gives a linger off-season so the talent can do other work. More time for writers etc.

"The other morning on Fox & Friends, they had the actress who plays Chloe on, and in a pre-commercial "tease," they had her in the control room, yanking a guy away from a console, and she starts typing away on a computer keyboard... Just one note: The computer monitor was as the famous Windows Blue Screen of Death!"

Actress goes full-on Chloe! She went rogue!

My mind is slow. Tell me again who Freckles was. I remember, but I don’t remember.

Kiefer’s grandfather, Tommy Douglas, a long-time Premier of Saskatchewan and the first leader of the NDP, is regarded as the father of Canada’s national health system, but there’s no political dynasty involved.

Probably because the black president on the show was portrayed as a strong leader and Americans thought they could get life to imitate art by electing one of their own. Of course there were plenty of movies in the ensuing years that featured a black president before we had one. But anyway...
To: rabidralph
That's just dopey.
Morgan Freeman had already played a black President in the movies years before that.
Nobody voted for Barack 0bama because of 24. In fact, I doubt many of the people who watch 24 would even have been part of his constituency.

Well, that’s what some people believe. In fact, there was a quote from the actor who played the president, taking credit for getting Obama elected because of his TV role, FWIW.
To: rabidralph
You can't possibly be serious. Dennis Haysbert, like all actors, is a delusional egomaniac. Of course he thinks his role got Barack 0bama elected; he also believes 9/11 was an inside job. I'm sure he also thinks he has Spec Ops capabilities because he starred in
The Unit.
Portraying a black man as President got us our first black President. Wow. Just wow. Silly beyond words.
