I’ll take a hippy-dippy weatherman over a “climate scientist” any day.
That is a pretty head-spinning statement.
He "believes" in global warming (I'm making the presumption that he means the man-caused variety), yet he ignores all the data and science that contradicts the same...
The world has always survived and thrived on global warming, and it will continue to do so in the future, if that is what lies in store for us. A very long and harsh cooling cycle is an entirely different matter, one that will require large supplies of readily available energy, like coal, oil, natural gas, wood, all those horrible carbon sources the kooks dread. Without them, we could all die.
he he he...”non-compromised?”
That picture is all you need to know...
So There’s HOPE?The Enviro-Wackos Should Be Delighted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
El Cid, Dog;
Yeah, I know how that statement feels too. Neil had a very interesting interview where he mentions that Republicans under George W. Bush spent much more on science than Democrats. He said he respects that, and disagrees with administrations that convolute their rhetoric. I do believe Neil is one of of us, but he feels that he still has to support the plantation mentality to keep his friends happy. He really is much more secure than wankers like Bill Nye, Michio Kaku and Brian Green, & etc...
What’s wrong with the TED talks?
Neil deGrasse Tyson just loves to bash us anti science inbred Christians. They had a big yuk over getting a show on that hillbilly FOX network.
No I’ll take Kaku any day of the week. He actually admits to believing in a God of some sort.
No smoking hot spot1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.
Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.
If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.
Carrying on the demagogic tradition of Carl Sagan. Thanks EveningStar.
