The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.
No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. There is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.
“I’ve had upper back problems for a couple of days, so I’ve been moving in slow motion.”
The left half of my back is usually in muscle spasm but yesterday it was both halves when I woke up. Both are here today but not as bad as yesterday. Yes, I worked outside those days as well as today, but it was sitting in a chair and filling large pots but I was doing it over and over and over, so maybe all that for two days did it. Who knows?
I can’t stop moving, pain or no pain, or the food plants would crash one way or another. I put net over the St. Anne lettuce and the strawberries every evening. If I didn’t do that, kiss them all goodbye to birds/squirrels in the early morning.
Do you know of something you did to cause your back to crash?

I completely forgot that I had this commercial style dust collector sitting in the corner. It's barely been used. It has a 1 hp motor and a squirrel cage type fan.
I did try it on a bag of leaves, see photo, and it does ok, but really takes 2 passes to do a good job.
I need to figure out a mod for it so that it does a good job on one pass.

The first thing that came to mind was that looks like a small dust collector before reading your caption. I have been trying to make out the name on it, the color and what I can see of the tag, it looks like a Grizzly.
