Outrageous. Reckless. Senseless. That is what many military families are calling the continuing ban on concealed carry for servicemembers on U.S. military bases. Bases like Ft. Hood, where 3 brave members of our military were gunned down by an apparently mentally-compromised Spc. Ivan Lopez.
And the outrage will only grow in light of a new shocking report that Lopez was able to remain free for 15 to 20 minutes -- more than enough time for him to kill 3 and wound 16 -- before finally being confronted by a military policewoman, whereupon he took his own life.
For contrast, the wholesale slaughter of 26 children and teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary took just 11 minutes.
And this psycho had "15-20 minutes". On a MILITARY BASE. Let the insanity of that sink in for a minute. And this continues to be our shameful Federal policy 5 years after Muslim jihadist Nidal Hassan gunned down 13 defenseless service members on the same base in 2009.

I believe there are cultural dynamics (40 years of liberalism in particular) causing a lot of this ptsd stuff. People are now ill equipped to deal with hardships.

I have children who saw 18 months in a forward combat area and they don’t have PTSD.
Wanna bet the IDF doesn’t make their soldiers walk around unarmed!!
Just saw an “expert” on Foxnews saying how dangerous it would be to let “50,000” soldiers on a base be armed as in an instance like this “everyone would be shooting at everyone and the first responders wouldn’t know who the real shooter was”. Idiot. In Israel, EVERY single soldier carries a machine gun, I was in their equivalent of a 7-eleven and they were getting big gulps with their rifles slung around their shoulder—I felt darn safe actually. And what about that “hide in place” or whatever it was order?? Makes no sense! Use your training to help, not just cower and wait to be shot!

I think most of us didn’t know about the ban on weapons on bases until the Islamic terrorist murdered those 14 Americans at Ft Hood in 2009..

The news reports mention that Lopez had been deployed to Iraq, but do not attempt to touch on the question of his being infected by Islamic Extremists while in Iraq or in any other undisclosed Middle East deployments.

A stupid move on Clinton's part. But then I've got to ask. Why didn't George Bush rescind the order as soon as he took office?
Because if Clinton is at fault (and he is), then Bush and Obama are at fault also.
