It Wasn't Supposed to Happen This Way...
Vanity | 3/12/14 | pgyanke

It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Obamacare was supposed to be a winning issue for the Democrats. How did it become the anchor around their necks? A botched implementation.

The script as it was supposed to occur...

The Democrats gave America universal healthcare! For the first time in our misogynist, racist, homophobic history we were going to take care of all Americans, not just those with money. The millions of uninsured Americans and their illegal brethren would identify the Democrats as the giver of all good governmental things and they would enjoy electoral success. They stood up to the medical-industrial complex on behalf of everyday Americans.

How could the script play out this way, you ask, when Obamacare was so deeply flawed it couldn't possibly work? In fact, Nancy Pelosi was being honest (for once) when she said it would need to be passed to see what was in it. After all of the failed attempts over the last 60 years and the rewrites and the haggling, they truly didn't know what was in it anymore. There was no way it could work.

It wasn't meant to work. It was meant to fall apart. The Democrats didn't want to insure the uninsurable, they wanted single-payer healthcare where the government is the sole-provider... and in charge. This was only a stepping stone. They meant to point the finger at the insurance companies for canceling policies, for raising rates and for generally squeezing what they could out of their policy-holders--even though the insurance companies were only reacting to the law as written.

What went wrong?

Their inept rollout showed how incompetent the Democrats' plans were. It was plain to even the casual observer that the cancelations, headaches and difficulties were not the fault of the insurance companies but actually the fault of the law passed by the Democrats.

While we may not be inclined to thank the Democrats for Obamacare, we owe them a debt of gratitude for exposing themselves for all to see.

This is why Jolly won in Florida and why everyone who supported Obamacare (note that the support is all in past-tense) will suffer in this election cycle.

The con-artist challenge by Democrats to RINOs to “Fix” the failed Federal Medical Insurance Law, Obamacare, is now approaching a decision point: April Fools Day, 2014.

Always eager to do nothing unless it is something that might make the Democrats hate them less, the GOP Establishment is actively searching for ways to help “their best friends across the aisle” on the failed Obamacare Law which is set to fail April Fools Day, 2014.

The GOP-E has recently picked up Romney’s “Torch of Tyranny” (Romneycare), and are happily working on their own version of Federal Medical Inurance called “RINOcare.”

Will the TEA Party Reps. in the US House rise up and replace “Doormat for Obama” Boehner, and then ABOLISH the RINOcare replacement of Obamacare, or will everyone just sit on their hands and be happy to be everybody’s fool, again?

Romney is hoping that Boehner’s RINOcare prevails, as it will allow Romney to run again as the GOP-E Nominee in 2016.

BTW, why are so many RINOs so determined to continue the financial destruction of America by advocating Federal RINOcare?

Obamacare has proven to millions of Americans that Federal Medical Insurance will always be doomed to fail, a lesson ignored by our sorry Federal RINOs.

FORWARD !

[BTW, have you ever noticed that the Obamanation command “FORWARD !” is ALWAYS toward the upper lip of the Financial Cliff?]

Simple:

We had a Dem controlled Congress, Executive Branch and Supreme Court and we HAD...NO...SAY in the legislation even though the American people overwhelmingly DID...NOT...WANT this to be passed.

Obamacare was never supposed to be a winning issue for them. You can tell by the schedule. Anytime a president hammers through something that won’t start going into effect until after his re-election bid and won’t finish until after the second term is over he knows it’s going to be unpopular.

Besides being meant to fail, and therefore 'force' single-payer, even many nominal-Democrats can see the injustices inherent in forcing someone to buy something.

Much of the Democrat's power comes from twisting a drive to do good to bad ends; this is not to say that Republicans are any better, much of their power comes from letting the Democrats take power and then pointing out the bad they do in order to scare more votes for themselves. (IOW neither of the parties are thinking about improving the situation for the country. — wich more than adequately explains the ever-increasing debt.)

Agree. Sometimes you have to let someone get their way to prove they are wrong.

If the risk is low enough, I will do that. I’ve done it a few times in my life. It’s a good way to train kids too. They learn, through experiential experimentation, that their belief is incorrect.

Of course ObamaCare is a winning issue for the Democrats. I know it's a winning issue for them because Debbie Washerwoman Schultz said it was a winning issue for them.

And she's the closest thing they've got to a political genius. She's almost as smart as Hillary Clinton, who is the smartest woman in the world, and possibly the smartest woman in history.

I think Jolly is a RINO and Sink is a communist. Does this mean that the GOP can run another Dole, McCain or Romney and win? Is there even a chance for a conservative? 2016 will be the year we could probably run a corpse and win.

The schedule was driven by political timing, sure. However, they expected by this election cycle to be hitting the GOP hard over their support for the private sector by pointing out how the insurance companies are screwing everyone. Their positive was going to be the rescue of single-payer.

It's not that Obamacare was ever going to be a positive, it was just meant to be a winning issue... they could use it against their enemies as a club and ride in on white, single-payer horses to rescue the downtrodden. Their implementation took away the club and has made the second more difficult (though not impossible).

Many Americans work hard, live within their means, and live descent caring lives.

There are many that live wild and crazy lives, doing drugs, making poor decisions and getting in trouble.

Some appreciate welfare, and some use it in ways never intended. In Texas any person can show up at the hospital emergency room and they will be treated. Money or not. They will receive care.

To take money from the producers and give it to the takers has not worked very well. The takers want more and the producers resent the fact the takers do not work or care about being a good citizen.

We tax the ones doing the right thing and those being irresponsible get benefits they seem to not appreciate and certainly abuse them.

It is a dilemma.

It is impossible to please everyone. Washington is spending money like crazy people and we have NOTHING to show for it. NO bridges, highways, major construction projects, only the government seems to be thriving. God Bless America. WAke up America we are about to go down the tubes.

the Democrats are going to lose big. The main focus now should be giving B&tch McConnell a bloody nose. He cannot be allowed to surfto majority leader on the backs of people he vowed to CRUSH. He must be destroyed.

O/Care is teeming w/ endless voter fraud tricks and election fixers....to fulfill Obama's dream of a permanent Democtic majority. And that's why lock-stepping Dummycrats enthusiastically voted for it w/ an historic straight party-line vote.

THIS JUST IN---Obama, himself, went on latino TV whining about "underdeserved" latinos and is conniving to get them enrolled in O/Care. Obama has done everything to suckup except fellate a latino on the steps of the Capitol.

INCONVENIENT FACTOID "Impoverished" Latinos do not need to pay for O/Care---they get free healthcare any frickin' time they want it.

Now Valerie Jarrett, White House "senior adviser" (Chicagoland term for "wire-transfer artist") will suckup to latinos----in a Google+ hangout with Cosmo for Latinas.

Obama's "latino enrollment" scam is a ruse to get votes by putting illegals into O/Care. NOTE WELL healthcare.gov is also a voter registration site. Tricky Democrats can easily plug in enrollees into their voter rolls.....and count them as votes on election day. Dems will say they "accidentally" enrolled latinos----a scam to plug latino voters into Democrat rolls.

==============================================

BOOKMARK THIS Each state's Secretary of State is required to check into all cases of reported voter fraud. They should be notified about illegals registering via O/Care.....and being fraudulently plugged into Democrat voter rolls.

What's true but not as plain is the fact the headaches were deliberate, to get people to start pounding on the tables for Single Payer. If we could ever get that message to everybody out there, the Rats would be finished as a national party.

Trouble is, LIVs wouldn't believe it if you slapped them in the face with it. They are incapable of believing the Rats would ever harm them, and so they blame us for all the failures.

2016 will be the year we could probably run a corpse and win.

You are correct. That is why we (the GOP base) must insist on a conservative in the primaries. We need to stop letting the GOPe divide and conquer by running multiple "conservatives" to dilute our votes. While all of the "conservatives" in the last presidential cycle fought each other to prove who was Reagan's heir, Romney cruised through to the nomination with never more than 30% support. You don't win the general election when you can't even excite your base.

Conservatives jumped from candidate to candidate slowly whittling our choices until we finally said we don't like our remaining choices. The elite stuck by Romney throughout. If we can ignore the press and elite who will be telling us the conservative candidates sins in succession and simply put our support behind a strong candidate, we can win.

We hurt ourselves by demanding purity... our enemies show our candidate's impurities and we bail. Like it or not, we're going to elect a fallible human. Accept that and support him (or her).

No, this is a second mid-term they knew it was going to be good for the GOP if Obie won re-election. The best they could hope to get out of OC for this cycle was that the just enough of it would be turning on for good PR, but even that wasn’t going to be a big gain because nothing really major is going into place. The big thing was to “phase in” the uninsured tax so nobody would face any taxes until after the election.

There was never a chance for it being a winning issue, if they thought it would be it would have gone into effect during the 2012 election cycle so Obie could hang his hat on his accomplishments. And its failure really won’t help the single payer movement, because it’ll be a failure of government run healthcare.

Does this mean that the GOP can run another Dole, McCain or Romney and win?

The GOPe thinks they can and they will run another tepid campaign dancing around the major issues, including Obamacare. They will lose again.

Heck, yesterday I read a post here on FR that the GOPe has been talking about another possible Romney campaign.

“We hurt ourselves by demanding purity... our enemies show our candidate’s impurities and we bail. Like it or not, we’re going to elect a fallible human. Accept that and support him (or her). “

We’ve had some good guys way down on the ticket, but they never get much support. It would be good if they agreed among themselves that the lowest polling candidates would resign early if they don’t get at least 30%. That would leave us with a RINO and a conservative. But, it takes a huge ego to run and somebody polling 9% will run, essentially taking that 9% away from somebody who was conservative but could make it against the inevitable RINO if he had that 9%.

Sometimes the best thing a candidate does is resign early. Sometimes the best thing a long serving politician does is drop dead.
