People that run our public schools for the most part have no common sense. They only know following policies that were negotiated by their union.

All authority has been taken from the teachers and they have been taught to blindly follow orders. The result is stupidity squared.

I would demand a personal interview with the school people in charge.
I'll say no more than that.

If I were on the civil-suit jury, I'd find for the girl… it is unacceptable that they should be injured in (and by) a procedure [ostensibly] for their safety.

“Academics” are often the most narrow-minded, bureaucratic, and obtuse people you will ever meet.
It seems to be a paradox, but the times have given it proof.

St. Paul teachers came very close to striking - mostly for the children's sake (and more money).

In my opinion any school faculty or administrator involved in this should be sent to winter training with the ROK army...

People are so brainwashed now to where they no longer can think for themselves. They stand idle waiting for the ‘authorities’ to tell them what to do when something falls outside of the standard procedure. If the girl was on fire they would call the fire dept. And wait while she burned to death.

Yup. It looks good on paper so you folks can ride the results into the ground. (Kinda like the democrats and Obamacare)
