1050 to 1150 CE
What the hell is CE? Are we now to expunge BC and AD from our vernacular, to appease the heathen hoards?
Man, our culture is dead.
“... What the hell is CE? ...”

I don’t know about you, but I pronounce it as “Christian Era”.
I think it is some stupid “common era” crap....
CE = Christ Entered.
Much better than “Common era”.
CE has for quite some time been the most common usage in scientific papers and journals.
While the term itself goes back centuries, it was first widely promoted by Jewish academics in the 19th century, who quite reasonably did not want to use a dating system that acknowledged Jesus as their Lord, when he wasn’t.
I like to say “Christian Era.”
People have asked me what CE stands for over the years. I always tell them it stands for the "Christian Era" and so far nobody has disputed that with me. So if this was an attempt by atheists to do away with "AD" - it backfired pretty badly.
Years ago, when I was in graduate school, I was told by a professor that I could not use “A.D.” and “B.C.” because those were religious designations. I was informed that I must use “CE” - meaning “Common Era” and “BCE” - meaning “Before the Common Era”. I asked the professor Who exactly made the Common Era the common era. He just looked at me. We both knew the answer was Jesus. He then smiled and shook his head.
Pssst, don’t offeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeend the muzzies and atheists.
Common Era AD for leftists.
It means before Clint Eastwood. And that goes back a long way.
