Buy this: http://www.sodastreamusa.com/
It was ok when a bunch of hippies wanted to “teach the world to sing...” or “buy the world a coke...”
Nothing more than a good company expanding markets....
But the souper bowl add making nice with all those foreign languages singing America the Beautiful...it was nothing more than coca cola folks calling for amnesty for ileagles.
Any day now.....

Coke has been making my behind hurt since the whole sappy, “teach the world to sing” drivel a million years ago. But we’ve been drinking about an 8 pack every week or so. I believe it might be time to cut them loose altogether. We’ve certainly survived just fine without Frito Lay. (switched to Utz)
I agree, wholeheartedly. The ad was clearly meant to celebrate America. They may not have done so in the way I would have chosen to do so -- if I were to design the ad, I probably would have had them sing in English, with whatever accents they have. But, just because I would have gone with a different approach, doesn't make the ad "offensive" or "anti-American."
Foreign languages or not, I just find it hard to call a commercial proudly featuring "America the Beautiful," and ending with a tagline of "America is Beautiful," anti-American.
And I hope all the folks declaiming the horrors of multiculturalism don’t eat ethnic food. I thought it was basically a redo of the old “buy the world a coke” add, lots of ethnic mixing in there too.
Haven’t bought Coke in many years... I don’t miss it or its commercials. I actually found that one last night rather repulsive... singing “America the Beautiful” doesn’t support the “melting pot” ideal, but rather multiculturalism.
The only coke products I buy are the mexican cokes from Costco. I stay away from any sodas that have HFCS in them. I’ve had a sodastream for over a year now and love it. If you buy the sodastream cola syrup made with cane sugar you will find it very close to the mexican cokes.
America the Beautiful doesnt support the melting pot ideal, but rather multiculturalism.
Should read:
America the Beautiful in multiple languages doesnt support the melting pot ideal, but rather multiculturalism.
Taste is different for everyone. I don’t drink soda, but in my opinion Pepsi is WAY better than Coke.
Have had one of these for over a year and it’s great. A lot cheaper and saves me from having to lug all those two liter bottles from the store. And saves on fridge and cabinet space too.
I missed that one. When id it air?
And I would never suggest, in the slightest, celebrating other cultures as having the same uniqueness as America.
There has never been another country who trounced an adversary and then left.
We have done that since the 1st time we landed on Tripoli.
All the world wants to be like us in some ideal, shape or fashion.
really gotta run.
Be back in a few hours....
meh...
I got bigger things to worry about
I thought it was kinda nice
I noticed that they had Hebrew in it, but I didn't recall any Arabaic......
You are very right. It is always a coke vs. Pepsi thing. But I believe the right thing to do is base your decision on what tastes better and not some ridiculous commercial. The commercial bashers must have had a coronary with the 1970’s “I’d like to teach the World to sing”....lol. I think there is a time to bash a company and a time not too. I guess if the Cheerio situation didn’t just happen, I would not be as humored over the “scandal”. We have such bigger issues to worry about and conservatives of all people are wasting energy on this. When we lose in 2014 for lack of action...(where the hell are the Tea Party rallies like we had leading up to 2010??????), we can always remind ourselves how we “gave it” to Coke over a commercial.
It started and stopped in English and had a middle segment in English. Shouldnt we be flattered to hear in in other languages when we can hear it in English too? Lighten up folks, few are more conservative than me, this is a lot about nothing.
Why drink soda when there’s beer?
Mmmm... Arnold Palmer. Drink the half ‘n half stuff myself.
These are the main Coke products, but there are many more
Was thinking about buying a Sodastream to support Israel of course..but are the drinks that you can make with it any good..never even tasted it before so have no idea how it even tastes
I want to buy one, but so afraid it is going to be watered down or something. I definitely won’t buy one until I test it out. When will that happen? Well I need to find someone who has one. lol.
I'm thinking the same thing!
I didn't know that they're a product from Israel!
