More men can visit ob-gyns for conditions like pelvic pain and low testosterone after the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology did away with a rule that dictated boad-certified docs can only treat women except under very specific circumstances.
A U.S. professional group that certifies obstetricians and gynecologists has loosened a decades-old restriction on its board-certified members treating male patients, after mounting pressure from doctors and researchers.
The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) had previously said members could not treat male patients except in specific circumstances, such as circumcising babies, treating transgendered patients, and helping couples overcome infertility.

it is sort of odd, and I noticed, that men generally don’t like some guy inspecting their junk, unless it is a doctor giving them some exam that requires it, but most often feel less comfortable if the doctor is not a guy - just anecdotal evidence, not an “official study”
on the other side, OBGYns have most often - and probably originally - been mostly men, and women have been alright with that
I knew a woman, somewhat a feminist, who decided that only a female OBGYN would be employed to deliver her baby. Afterwards, she swore she would never go to a female doctor again, "That woman had no compassion or empathy for the pain I suffered or for what I was going through, none!" For my part, I suspect it depends on the individual.

My GYN retired recently, so I got reassigned to another doctor in the practice...an Asian woman. I really loved my male GYN-—he had a great sense of humor and would crack jokes-—but now I’m thinking, wait....the Asian female’s hands are a lot smaller. That has to be good.
But in the 80s, they had a skit on Saturday Night Live called, "Mel Gibson, Dream Gynecologist."
