They call it the R.I.P. round and with good reason. G2 Research has released a new ammo that is taking the market by storm and has gun owners all over the country trying to find where to pick some up.

Looks more like a novelty product, I’ll keep my CORBON’s.

“Does this round do away with the lead core?”
The film says there is no lead.

Yep.
One of those unintended consequences of letting the screeching green-weenies out of their cages.
Not a scrap of lead in it.

I am really glad it comes in 380, because my other weapon is just so darn hard to CONCEAL!

We never heard anything about the cartridges used either by Zimmerman or the retired cop in the theater that shot the text dude. Both were one shot kills with what I consider a small caliber. The bullets did the job.
Depending on where you live, you may not want to give a rabid anti-gun prosecutor an opening. If you’re in a different situation go for it.

Years ago I reloaded some 12ga rounds with cut copper wire about 1/8th in diameter, the amount of damage they did was spooky.

The BATF ‘buzzsaw’ round.??
IIRC goes right through kevlar.

The film says there is no lead. Non-toxic, therefore healthy.

Its just a fragmenting bullet.
Will it do the damage of a Glasser Saftey slug?
What will the prosecuting attorney have to say about you using a personal defence round named “RIP”?

"I think a ballistic vest will easily stop them as they would fragment quickly" They're awfully sharp. Looks like they penetrate well, then decelerate.

Will cost and availability be better than 22lr ammo right now?

A flack vest is filled with fiberglass strands that catch the sharp irregular shapes to protect the wearer. The so called cop killer bullets were hard with a Teflon coating that would help penetrate.

I think a ballistic vest will easily stop them as they would fragment quickly. That would be good for perspective marking. No one buys more ammo than LEOs and LEOs don't like rounds that go through their vests.
In close quarter combat like room clearing you don't want a round that can go through dry wall and your partners vest who is clearing the next room.
