Yes, Obama is a member of a UCC church. I got married in a UCC church in 2009, since my wife chose the church. I was surprised when I later learned that some UCC pastors support same-sex weddings.
The national leadership is apparently very liberal although each congregation is independent and doesn’t need to follow their lead.
I wonder what Allah is busy doing.
“Charmed”? Really?
“Murder, She Wrote” with a fat black lady? No thanks.
They’re pithing a new “Star Trek” show set in the alternate reality of the new movies?
“Remington Steele” “NBC is planning a follow-up to the Pierce Brosnan-Stephanie Zimbalist ‘80s hit, this time as a half-hour comedy following the daughter of the original duo.”
WTF?
“Falcon Crest” The original stars of CBS’s ‘80s primetime soap say they’ve been approached by “Crest” writers about resurrecting the series, a la TNT’s “Dallas.”
Okaaaaaay.
“Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” The ‘80s syndicated staple, with Robin Leach showing us how the super-wealthy live, is being revamped with Nick Cannon as host.”
Well.
I think we are reaching some kind of singularity where there are no more new ideas.
There are some different ideas, maybe not new, but Hollywood will never do them. Think how many stories could be set in a city-state that has gone Galt, for instance.
Complete vomit.
Notice the AA’s taking the place of honkeys? Yep...
Maybe it should be called “weldings.”
Watch her scream in every episode. Don't get me wrong, Octavia Spencer is talented, but she needs to be doing a sitcom. People don't remember, but she was on one of the string of failed sitcoms on Comedy Central, "Halfway Home" about ex-cons in a halfway house.
Falcon Crest
I don't see the point here. It was nowhere on par with "Dallas" or "Dynasty." I could see a reboot of "Dynasty", as Joan Collins is still available and has kept herself in good shape. It's a damn shame they never got her Alexis and Hagman's J.R. together. That would've been fantastic.
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous
I was a fan of this show and "Run away with the Rich and Famous." The problem is, back in the '80s, those celebrities you admired and wanted to hang out with. Most of them today are talentless, pampered, political little shits who party in rap nightclubs and drug out. I'd have rather spent time with a 70-year old Sinatra in the '80s than the soon-to-be-syphilitic Justin Bieber (and every time I see him, I just want to punch him in the face. Too bad Frank isn't around, he WOULD have punched him in the face).
"Theyre pithing a new Star Trek show set in the alternate reality of the new movies?"
Please, no. Make it stop.
“Watch her scream in every episode”
I doubt I’ll be watching the MSW remake. NBC just canceled their IRONSIDE remake starring Blair Underwood. I’d like to see them remake “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” with some white rapper douchebag in the title role, how about Alan Thicke’s son?
“Falcon Crest”
I agree, I mean I’m sure it has it’s devoted fans who would be excited to see Lorenzo Lamas and whoever else is still alive again but their numbers must be slight.
Dynasty would make more sense. Yes, JR plus Joan Collins would have been neat. Different networks I guess that’s why that never happened, I think Dynasty was conceived specifically to compete with Dallas. I wonder what will become of the Dallas remake with Hagman dead, a lot of people may not have watched it to begin with if not for JR.
I vaguely remember seeing ”Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” as a kid and liking it. But you’re right, the people who would be on it now, I’d just fantasize about killing them and taking their mansions. I wonder how many rappers have a “Scarface” globe. I would get one.
“The soon-to-be-syphilitic Justin Bieber “
LMAO!!
RE Star Trek, I agree if there’s a new show it should be in the “primary reality” or whatever they call it. I heard Michael Dorn pitched a “Captain Worf” show, didn’t seem to go anywhere. Given how badly “Enterprise” was handled I’m not optimistic about a new show.
Respectable run, yes, but it was not a phenomenon as Dallas and Dynasty were (both of which held or competed for the #1 highest rated show). I wouldn’t even rank it with Knots Landing, which went for 14 seasons (1979-93), which also ran with FC concurrently on CBS.
Murder, She Wrote with a fat black lady? No thanks.”
A screaming AA replacing Angela Lansbury? Who’s replacing Tom Bosley - Snoop Dog? PASS.
Falcon Crust
Ana Alicia was HOT; I remember her from Buck Rogers and Halloween 2 too!!!
Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crust
Marilyn Chambers, Traci Lords, Little Mary
(Which one doesn’t fit it?)
If they’re Hell-bent on reboots, try Knots Landing first. PASS.
Speaking of Falcon Crust, I picture blitheringmauro-CT being a Marjoe Gortner wannabe.
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous
That show epitomized the 1980’s; “modernizing” it with today’s (mostly) douchebag wannabe “stars” is the equivalent of touching up the Mona Lisa with shoe polish and spray paint. PASS.
Speaking of “The Bieb”:

Another Star Trek? PASS.
I can see why my Mom was watching more and more of the oldies channels...
“Id just fantasize about killing them and taking their mansions. I wonder how many rappers have a Scarface globe. I would get one.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I picture it as the single funniest scene in the feminist comedy, "Nine to Five." The Black janitress walks into the bathroom and utters the immortal words, "Hey, Vera, there's another stiff in the john."
I don’t find that funny at all. Unacceptable.
You know, I never watched any of those shows... just never got into them at all.
I’m even surprised I’m hooked on the Zombie soap opera “The Walking Dead”... but I am. Haha!!
Saw a graphic that somebody posted a while back: “The Hardest Part About The Zombie Apocalypse Will Be Pretending I’m Not Excited About It.”
Sort of like a societal Mulligan...
I’m tiring of The Walking Dead.
Tyreese: Can’t wait to see him become lunch for the walkers.
“Sort of like a societal Mulligan...” Exactly!!!
RE Walking Dead:
I look at it as sort of a primer for “What NOT to do when the World Ends”. I get a laugh out of all the stupid things the writers have these people doing.
Forget “zombies”. Use “Katrina” or whatever other disaster - man-made of natural - that happens. If you survive the initial event, it’s what comes afterwards that’s the real challenge.
