Lord, is it Wed already, I am loosing track of days, saw the Gastro yesterday, he gave me some little pills you put under your tongue FINALLY in 2 years of ab pain I am getting relief, if they don’t turn on me, but he only wrote the RX for 20 pills that is a 5 day supply. Dean has his colon screen Mon. and I will know if any side effects by then so I can ask for a larger RX. And he agreed that the ab pain is more than likely coming from the compression fracture L 4/5 all this time. See the Neurosurgeon on 12/11. Starting to see light at the end of this 3 year tunnel.
Our GOD IS GOOD to His people.

On Helping Others
November 14, 2013
Read: Leviticus 19:9-15
When snowstorms bury the grazing lands, ranchers must feed their herds by hand. As hay is tossed from wagons and trucks, the strongest animals bull their way to the front. Timid or sickly animals get little or no feed unless the rancher intervenes.
Workers in refugee camps and food pantries report a similar pattern. When they open their stores to those in need, the weak and timid may not make it to the front of the line. Like the ranchers, these human lifelines must take steps to ensure that their services reach the feeble, weary, and sick at the edge of societys attention.
They are carrying out a principle set forth by God long ago. In Leviticus 19, Moses instructed Israels farmers and vintners to leave portions of their crops so the poor and the stranger could have something to eat (vv.9-10).
We too can serve as caretakers to the weak and weary. Whether were teachers coaxing quiet students to open up, workers coming alongside a struggling co-worker, prisoners looking out for new arrivals, or parents showing attention to their children, we have ways to honor God by helping others.
As we seek to serve those in need, may the grace of God that reached us in our need move us to reach out to others in theirs.
Father, open my eyes to those struggling to have
enough food, enough love, enough hope; then open my
heart to find ways to help them receive love, using my
hands in service to themand through them, to You.
By serving others, we serve God.

Good morning, ltos and MEG! Yes, thank God for His magnificent creations! Those are such beautiful and sparkly pastel butterflies, MEG. Thank you. Wishing you and ALL Amy's FRiends a lovely November day.
I photographed this guy (gal?) towards the end of summer after he settled on one of my roses and stayed put while I ran inside and grabbed my camera. Then he continued to pose while I photographed him from every possible angle. About ten minutes and a bunch of images later I finally told him the photo session was over. Unless he wanted to flip over on his back so I could photograph his underside, we were done. LOL. Eventually, he fluttered over to the neighbor's yard.
What struck me as so beautiful were the two pinky-red spots, along with the blue ones. Especially the one near the bottom that looks like a flame with the orangy circle around it. I'd never noticed that particular color on a Tiger Swallowtail before. Then I realized that those two spots were actually the rose showing through. Actually, he is perfect just as he is, with or without more colors. :-)

Good Morning. Lori.
I’m feeling much better. This cold or whatever had me down for about 3 days. Still coughing but that seems to be the norm after a cold.
How was your train trip north?

Friday, on the trip up, it was very crowded because of the three day weekend, I suppose. I had scheduled my return for Monday evening but realized it was going to be just as crowded coming back, so I decided to stay an extra day. No more traveling on holidays for me!
Had a good time shopping, lunching and gabbing. Went to Sacramento to meet up with my cousin and some other friends. The six of us spent the day at Apple Hill and Placerville. It is soooo gorgeous up there this time of year. And you haven't lived until you've had a warm, freshly baked Apple Cider donut from Rainbow Orchard! The weather was perfect for shopping and wandering from booth to booth at the craft fair. Then, another day, D and I went to the farmer's market at Concord (or maybe it was Walnut Creek - I never know where I am up there). I've never seen such a nice farmer's market.
Glad to be home, I missed my puppies, but I did have a good time. :-)
