Looks like Libby after she has found a piece of paper or one of her stuffed toys. The only shoes she gets are mine, and then she goes after the inserts I have to use in them, needless to say they are a mess. We toke to making sure all doors are closed now.
When I was a teen, I witnessed an auto accident. It was a shocking experience that was compounded by what followed. As the only witness to the incident, I spent the ensuing months telling a series of lawyers and insurance adjustors what I had seen. I was not expected to explain the physics of the wreck or the details of the medical trauma. I was asked to tell only what I had witnessed.
As followers of Christ, we are called to be witnesses of what Jesus has done in us and for us. To point people to Christ, we dont need to be able to explain every theological issue or answer every question. What we must do is explain what we have witnessed in our own lives through the cross and the resurrection of the Savior. Even better is that we dont have to rely on ourselves alone to do this. Jesus said, But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).
As we rely on the Spirits power, we can point a hurting world to the redeeming Christ. With His help, we can witness to the life-changing power of His presence in our lives!
Read: Acts 1:1-9
Amen. Praise God!
Did I tell you how happy I am to have you back among your friends here? Well, I am! And I am sending up a special prayer for you and your dad. I have been where you are, caring for an elderly loved one. It is often a difficult and emotionally exhausting road, but you are his angel and God watches over His angels. Remember that. God’s blessing upon you both.
Amen.
And thank you very much, Mama_Bear!
Good Morning, Mama_Bear!
Fall in Florida is the most dangerous part of Hurricane Season, but, nonetheless, we are ALL grateful for the little change in temperature and decreased humidity!
:-)
Amen, (((((Mama_Bear))))))....and blessings to all here! xo
My memories of Florida are of steamy 90 degree July heat (at 9:00 o’clock in the morning!) in Orlando. Nearly did this desert lover in. I contracted the most miserable case of pneumonia from all that humidity that settled in my lungs (that was MY reasoning, anyway - but probably had nothing to do with it. LOL). I don’t think I would ever adapt to your weather, but it is a beautiful state, from what I saw of it. The only way I will go back is if there is a cruise ship docked there with a stateroom with my name on it. ;-)
Have a wonderful, low-humidity day. :-)
DANSY!!! Your reply made my day. I pinged you, just in case you might be ‘around’....and here you are! Love and hugs to you! <3
After 47 years oif shoveling snow, I don’t mind the heat OR the humidity! LOL!
Don't have any photos of Sissy in the pool (she fell in first thing when we got there!). Wish we had a video of her, it would have been hilarious. She went charging across the patio to where lawn used to be and ended up head first in the pool. My son fished her out immediately, but she is claiming now that she had a "near-death experience". LOL! Such a drama queen!
Ha, ha!! I don’t doubt it. Even though I was born in Massachusetts, I never lived there. I don’t do snow either. ;-)

Enjoy your family, ((((((MEG))))))! I am thankful that we got to spend time with my son and daughter-in-law last weekend before my son has to go back to Africa (on Sunday). We had a lovely weekend with them. We will see our son again at Thanksgiving when we all get together at my cousin’s ranch near Sacramento. Love my family!
I am so happy you had a visit with your son and DIL. I love my family and their visits, too! She had to get up before dawn so is napping.

My Dad always used to say “It’s much easier to wipe the sweat off my brow than the snow off the sidewalk and driveway.”
