I'm keeping all porch lights off and some soft lighting in the house. I don't wanna fool with them and I didn't get any last year. I'm finding our Mall has a lot going on for the last couple of years and I think the kids go out there. Hope they continue this year. I use to love the little kids coming but I think I've passed that stage....LOL!

I haven't felt too good today (well to tell the truth, for a few days.) I haven't accomplished anything like work. I fix a little to eat when I have to and clean up my mess but I've let everything else go. My phone hasn't rang today and I haven't even minded that. The kids will call later in the evening.

I wish you and all our friends at Amy's a Happy Halloween and I hope the trick or treaters don't bother ya'll too much. If you bought candy and don't get many trick or treaters......I say ENJOY Y0UR OWN LITTLE SWEET PARTY!!

As soon as we get thru probate, I can take a huge breath.

My BIL died in June of 2012 and it was March, 2013 before I got the squatters off the property. The amount of damage they caused was unbelievable. They thought they should get to live there forever without paying any rent!

Loved To Love

“A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.” I saw this quotation, attributed to the Wizard of Oz, on a wall plaque in a gift shop.

The Wizard of Oz may be a good story, but it’s not a reliable source of spiritual information. God said something quite different. According to Him, the greatest commandment is to love—to love Him first and then others (Mark 12:29-31). Scripture says nothing about expecting to be loved in return. In fact, Jesus stated the opposite in His most famous sermon: “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven” (Matt. 5:11-12).

When it comes to love, the important thing we need to know is this: All love starts with God (1 John 4:19). As Moses told the Israelites, God delighted in them to love them (Deut. 10:15), and because of that they were to love others, even strangers (v.19). God’s intent is that the people who receive His love will become the conduit of His love to others.

Apart from God—who Himself is love—none of us could truly love or be loved (1 John 4:7-8).

Thank you for the cute Halloween graphic and good wishes, Amy. Hope your Halloween was quiet like mine was. I didn't have one knocking on my door.....HALLELUJAH!!! I have lots of Suckers and Mound candy to do me for a while....LOL! Love Mounds!!

Nikki did bring Braelyn by with her little Princess dress on and she looked so sweet. The new baby was asleep in the car and we peeked at her. She was dressed as Minnie Mouse and she is so little and was so sound asleep. I still reached in and gave her a kiss on that darling cheek and she squirmed a bit but did not wake up. Nikki took a couple of pics with me and Braelyn, then me and Lyncoln Reese. She said she would post them when she could.

We no longer have nice quiet Halloweens.
Marissa wanted to do something.
After much discussion, we took her to 'town' to meet two friends;
and we bought them pizza and sodas.

We have TOO MUCH candy in the house.
I'm tempted to eat it all to keep it from Marissa. LOL
Her teeth, you know.

Looking forward to seeing new pictures of Braelyn and Lyncoln Reese.
I took pictures of Marilyn Monroe and will try to post them later.
