So what did you think (if you watched the show)?
And they also don’t know how to launder $10,000,000 in drug money, and would probably be caught the minute they attempted to do so. What a flaming pile of drivel.
Is that why she was the one who first suggested that Walt put out a hit on Jesse?
They did nothing to him. He was part of a start up company and sold his share on the cheap. They didn’t trick or swindle him into doing it either.
Just before Jesse got into the car and took off Walt looked at him and gave him an ever so slight nod. Jesse gave him a look back that acknowledged it.
then they — BETTER CALL SAUL!! for a tutorial on money laundering
This way Walt has made the Schwartz couple into criminals by giving the 11 million they must give to his son....or die!!!
I guess you were under the impression it wasn’t just a ficitonal TV show and is supposed to have supernatural powers or it’s just “a flaming pile of drivel?”
And if you want to get even deeper into the Marty Robbins song:
El Paso translates into “The Pass”
Regarding this finale, I believe meaning “the pass” into death or the after life. Or going back to Albuquerque to finish the job and get past it.
I thought the use of the song El Paso was genius.
They’re billionaires, they can launder that money in their sleep. Really all they have to do is take 10 million of their money out of the bank to start the trust and use the cash from Hank as pocket money until it runs out. With their bank balance nobody will notice them getting a bit less cash out of the bank for a year or so, it’s a non-material sum for them.
More likely, Jesse’s stoner friends will be scooped up by the DEA, as they question all know associates and accomplices, and it won’t take them but two seconds to spill the beans.
They’re nickle and dime guys, they’ll probably get busted at some point but it’ll be dimebag stuff. If the DEA was going to hassle them based on known associates that already happened, remember Walt was gone for months, plenty of time to find out Badger and Skinny Pete are morons who don’t know anything even about things that involved them. Even if they did talk what would they say “Walt drove us to a house we don’t remember how to get to (because they’re stoners) and we shined laser pointers in the window at people we don’t know who they are”?
Also remember that the Schwarzes had offered to take care of Walt’s family when they found out he was sick. Walt’s ego wouldn’t allow that, the same ego that had him insisting all fees had to come out of his money, but they want to help the kids. So one way or the other they’ll help the kids, the only real question is will they follow all Walt’s stupid rules to only do it with his money or will they just go ahead and do it.
Jesse’s DNA and fingerprints are all over the NN compound. Won’t they hunt him down?
Why would they bother to check DNA? They’ve got a big ass meth lab, a whole bunch of dead nazis and Heisenberg, all with the stuff to make the mythical blue meth and even some blue meth on hand, that case will be closed before the bodies are cold nobody is going to bother swabbing for DNA when they have half a dozen dead bodies to blame it all on. And Jesse’s been gone for a while. There will probably be some who were thinking he was buried with Hank and Gomey who are surprised to find only 2 bodies, but other than that nobody will care. Even if he resurfaces in ABQ as himself, with Marie alive they should know he was trying to help make the case and will assume he went into hiding when things went bad and when he heard about all the deaths came back.
His evil was more passive -- just going along -- and he did have qualms of conscience. Also, he didn't really have much to do this season (or maybe even last season, too). The show was all about Walt's fate and possible redemption, and all the Jesse actor had to do was be angry and sullen and toss around the word "b*tch" a lot, which was bound to make him boring and annoying.
He engaged in certain bad actions, but he had limits and drew a line. Basically they were involved in selling drugs to junkies and occasionally killing other bad guys.
Where he drew the line, and essentially snapped, was when Todd murdered that completely innocent kid on the bike. When Walt simply shrugged his shoulders in response, that was confirmation that he was a truly evil and wicked man.
The actor who played Todd did a great job. He was so sweet with the yes sir and Mr. White etc. When he was in the babies room warning Skyler, wow, he was so scary evil, and soft voice. Uncle Jack was good in his part too. My fav is Mike.
me too.
Ah, I see...thanks!
What a great show that was...a morality play, showing how pride, hubris and being unhappy with the gifts God gave you can lead to ruin.

For some demented reason I love Badger?
