Lessons In Urban Warfare: “People Will Die In Huge Numbers”
SHTF School ^ | 9/7/13 | Selco

We are at interesting point in time. It might be point that changes human history if some of those who rule us (sorry to call it like that but that is situation right now) play their game and it escalates. Im happy to know most of you have already proper storage and skills to try your best when storm hits. Let’s hope we don’t need anything of this.

If you have time, stop eating (but maybe get drink) and spend half hour to watch the video below. It is just out since 4th of September 2013 but shows bit older video footage of people fighting for their survival in Syria in current conflict. It’s bloody and maybe disturbing for some, so maybe don't eat. I speak a lot about how I moved through city and fought in my survival course and see many similarities. Too many, so I had to take some breaks looking at this. Anyway, I have comments about this video below.

Looks like the economic decline is much more gradual than a “storm.” Maybe tent cities full of impoverished ex-pensioners and other jobless folks, without children and generally helpless, nearly all of them dying of old age within a very short period of time. Hordes of rich foreigners will buy the homes that they once had, as has already happened to many.

It's all about logistics. Armed Americans outnumber the military so badly that it's not funny. There aren't enough military for that to work.

Our full military force couldn't manage to control a few 8th century fanatics in Afghanistan. They sure can't do it here.

Blackberry, raspberry and rose bushes. They make a nice non-threatening looking fortification and you get some nice food and flowers.

That is a factor of course but there are far far more armed citizens then there are military and police forces.

At least 20 to 1.

There are a million variables and all you can really do is educate yourself and try to prepare to make the best decisions you can when stuff happens.

Is that one of Obama’s welfare projects?

I am one person and I disappear in such a case, with unseen from the outside, security measures. Think urban camouflage.

I kept several military uniforms from several years ago that are not the digital print. They fade into the surrounding area very well. I also have the digital print uniforms for hunting. I will survive on fresh game if needed.

“A Failure of Civility”
http://www.amazon.com/A-Failure-Civility-Mike-Garand/dp/0615670105

Consider reading this book as if the Authors have parachuted into your backyard as Special Operations Soldiers to assist you in forming a cooperative protection of your neighborhood. That’s one of the things we were good at as ‘Special Ops’ soldiers... being covertly inserted into isolated areas to train people how to defend themselves against inequitable justice and malicious aggression.

With this book, we give you the tools of knowledge to enable you to teach you and others how to defend yourselves, family and neighbors. This is unlike any survival, Prepper or self defense book you’ve ever read. It is the ‘Ultimate A to Z’ Survival Book. It is a primer for the untrained and knowledge for the trained in survival. We show you how to organize, what to stockpile and how to prepare your Neighborhood Protection Plan.

We show you how to defend your neighborhood using military tactics and combat shooting techniques during a disaster or civil unrest. Through “A Failure of Civility” we give you the “Force Multiplier” effect... enabling your small group to defeat much larger groups. This is THE HANDBOOK you need during a disaster or Crisis and if society and civilization begins to unravel.

Reviews of the book.

Don’t overestimate the wild game availability. There will be lots of hungry people.

Just MHO.

I have it and its exactly that. A little bit too much on big building urban issues but its a great resource.

Yep. The elk population is already getting very low up here due to years of drought and poaching. Predators (mountain lions, bears, coyotes, etc.) are getting obviously hungrier and exposing themselves more often in broad daylight, because ruminants haven't had enough to eat for a long time (and poaching).

Back in the Ozarks, a long time ago, folks told me that after the Great Depression went on for a time, wild animals weren't much seen by people at all. They weren't extinct, but they were so rare as to very seldom be seen by anyone.

BTW, there are many millions of prairie dogs, though, and they carry the Bubonic Plague (on the Rockies).

“I kept several military uniforms from several years ago that are not the digital print. They fade into the surrounding area very well.”

I won't be seen outside the front of my house and no one can see into my small back garden. The smell of food will not go outside the house.

However, I bought certain clothes to wear if I do go, or have to go outside in front of house. These are dark blue sweat pants, two pair, in a large size and pull over shirt polo type shirt but not Polo brand (2), and a dark blue hoodie if it's cold. I got cheap ones to look cheap and too large for my body so I look like a shapeless old lady who couldn't have anything in her house or her brain.

Can I hear a hurrah! from you guys due to the fact I have nothing in my brain?

LOL. I wish you both were my neighbors. I followed a strange link and got to some weird You Tube video showing all of the Eastern and Central regions of Missouri and the rest of the Mississippi River Delta under water. Some gobbledy gook about massive flooding and the New Madrid fault. Also showed a big increase in several other parts of the country turned into big masses of water and labeled the new coast lines.

Do you have any idea what that’s all about, I could not understand the guy and couldn’t really see the written stuff he was pointing at. Said something about it being and army or navy map.

If I am going to be underwater (in the middle of a drought) rainbarrels are all empty, and hubby never got the pool up during rainy seasonA)then I need to get some serious life jackets and boats and waterproof supply kits. Gonna need to cross the water to the western side where I have a house and relatives.LOL
