FULL TITLE: How FOUR cops rushed to kill spider in wheelchair-bound teen's home after she called 911 fearing it could have killed her
Police in Portland, Oregon, received an unusual call earlier this month when a teenager phoned requesting assistance to deal with a ‘massive’ spider.
The caller, Makenna Sewell, wasn’t a prankster or someone with an extreme phobia of spiders, but instead suffers from muscular dystrophy and is wheelchair-bound.
She believed the spider was a brown recluse, a species with venom so toxic that it could have been deadly for her compromised immune system.

Sewell was home alone on August 16 when she saw the creature, which she described as being about three inches across.
Just a few days prior, her mom Shawnda had been bitten by a spider on the back of her leg during the night, which had resulted in a nasty wound and a trip to the emergency room.
Initially Sewell tried to call her mother, her father, the friends her parents were with, her own friends and two neighbors.
When she couldn’t reach anyone, Sewell decided to call the non-emergency police hotline as a last resort.

Yes, the black widow’s red mark is often described as an hourglass, and if bitten by a black widow, you will know it immediately. One will not likely know when bitten by a brown recluse. A blister will appear and then cave in to give the volcano look. You then need large injections of cortisone.
I live in southwest Ohio, and a few years ago, I had a wolf spider about 5 inches long in my garage. My friend thought I was exaggerating until she came to my house and captured it. (She is brave, unlike me.) She actually measured it with a ruler. I have an extreme phobia of spiders, and I admit that it did occur to me to call the police. They could probably have shot it, literally.

He fled the US and lives on the beach in the Philippines. He’s not helping anyone in the US.

Two observations:
1) The cute gal was simply using an effective method to meet single men, in this case rogue bachelor cops. Can you blame her as she does not have full use of the legs.
2) You can bet our DOJ head Holder is getting the paperwork to file a civil rights lawsuit, as the spider is of ‘color’ and the girl is....white. Sharpton and Jackson’s phones are ringing non-stop, and it is apparent this it is a hate crime. Don’t let the sweetness fool you. Chicks like this gotta hate, and if you’re a spider of color....
Holy Sh*t! If that’s my ceiling I’m letting one out of the Mossberg for that. Worth the cost to fix it.
