If youre already holding your first coffee of the morning, you might want to put it down, because drinking four cups a day could raise your risk of dying young, researchers warnbut only if youre under 55. They found that consuming 28 cups of coffee a week increases the chances of premature death in younger people by half.
The risk of death from all causes rose by 56 percent for men and women younger than 55 who drank more than 28 cups of coffee a week, said a report in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
Recent research has shown that coffee is a major dietary source of antioxidant, and it may reduce inflammation and boost brain function. At the same time, coffee stimulates the release of adrenaline, inhibits insulin activity, increases blood pressure, and raises levels of homocysteine, a harmful chemical linked to heart disease and dementia.

Remember the libs’ “conservatives reject science” catchphrase? Well, it is well proven that it’s actually the scientists that reject science . . .

I drink a grand total of only one cup of coffee a day at work. I'm more of a tea person--specifically real Chinese tea. I'm a big fan of the Dragon Well tea from the Hangzhou region of China (real Dragon Well tea from that region is quite expensive).

So .. my chances of dieing from rape and murder goes up 56% if I drink more than 28 cups of coffee a week ?
I might commit rape and murder if I drink more than 28 cups of coffee a week ... but I don't think I'll have a 56% more chance of dieing.

Speaking of geography where you sometimes go for coffee.
And the Burr Trail. Click the pic to read the artists description of going there to make this painting.

In other medical/scientific news: Eggs were bad for you but now they’re not, shrimp were high in cholesterol and now they’re ok too (because we put them on treadmills using stimulus money?), and a fetus isn’t a baby and can’t feel pain except it is and it can. They can pry my Keurig from my shaky, caffeinated hands.

You can enjoy your 30 cups of coffee a week and not live as long. Or you can believe all these studies and live long enough to sit in a nursing home corridor medicated into oblivion by doctors fleecing Medicare/ObamaCare.
To: Olog-hai
...Soon to follow will be another study that shows coffee is beneficial to our health.
Studies and counter-studies about coffee and its benefits/drawbacks have been flying back and forth like a decades-long tennis match.

Just give us the "absolute risk" numbers and quit with the sensationalism. Oh then.
