>> may be a wealthy and privileged, but ‘he down with the thug life.

You’re talking about A. W. and not me... right?

‘cause I can assure you, “wealthy and privileged” don’t apply here...

The thug thing, I think I’m OK there too, but we might want to get some other opinions.

uh... didn’t you say you had some lawn to mow, Mr. Thread Proctor?

Proctologist. I knew there was a useful function of some sort for him.

As an attorney myself, a lot of the Crim law attorneys his age are old school "conservative democrats" (pro-life, pro-gun, distrustful of big business) because they think they are helping the little guy. Keep in mind that most Republicans were considered both "law and order" and "big business" for years and years. I came of age more in the Clinton era instead of the Nixon era, so I have a different views of the dems.

I have no idea what O'Mara's politics are (nor care), but it would not surprise me, especially if he's Irish Catholic which I expect with that last name, that he's one of those old school types of democrats.

Would I vote for O'Mara? Maybe for trial judge. Would I hire O'Mara if I got dinged in Florida? Absolutely.

Speaking of the jury. I saw a reporter on Hannity last night saying that hat Hispanic juror keep shaking her head in agreement with the defense makes good points. That is encouraging. Hey I'm wondering and yes I am stereo typing. Since she is Hispanic and has a ton of kids she is probably Catholic. I think she connected with George when he had that connection with the Female police officer.

"The family of the victim are excluded from this rule.

Isn't a corollary of what this trial is about is to resolve the question "who is the victim?"

If Trayvon attacked GZ, Trayvon is not "the victim." The Court does not know, at this point, who "the victim" is.

a male with a birth defect (born with no visible butt)

I don’t need a picture - I know exactly what you look like - my husband had the same “birth defect” and that’s what he called it - he had no visible butt. When he was a Marine and in shape, he had an incredible body form - broad shoulders, strong arms, strong chest, and the shape dropping down from there due to small butt.

Do you have trouble with a belt holding you pants up? He wore suspenders due to the small waist/butt.

AW has lots of pics. Said recently there could be more "out there".

I didn't consider you at all. Please feel free to "feel" lonely and ignored. <8^)

If there are pics of yourself, do not send.

"For about the millionth time - the presence of the victim's mother and father is allowed under Fla law. This was argued before opening statements. "

If the court already knows that Trayvon rather than GZ was the victim....why are we having a trial?

Maybe you meant to say "any dead person's parents are allowed...?"

>> old school “conservative democrats” (pro-life, pro-gun, distrustful of big business)... helping the little guy

e.g. populist.

It’s sobering to consider that essentially the entire Florida prosecution machine we’re witnessing — from Bondi on down — are nominally law-and-order “republicans”.

One of the reasons this trial has gotten so far under my skin is because I am seeing how EASILY a “law and order” prosecutorial machine can be subverted to serve political purposes. That is, when “Law And Order” goes beyond “take criminals off the street” to “serve the racial grievance machine, the environmental injury machine, the gay rights machine, the pro-muslim machine, etc. etc”, for POLITICAL reasons — we fundamental constitutional rights citizens are well and truly screwed.

More concisely: “George Zimmerman is all of us — or any of us”.

That gets my attention.

Thanks for your insight.

FRegards

Perhaps “alleged victim.” I do not know the actual law and do not care enough to look it up. I do recall from listening to the argument that it included a phrase like “...Or designated representative.”

State tried to keep Crump in along with Tracy and Sybrina until defense defined the word “or” for them. He was then sent away.

>> Do you have trouble with a belt holding you pants up?

I only wear a belt with dress clothes (church, visit clients, etc.) It works OK.

Sweat pants don’t have belt loops. :-)

And when I wear jeans out here, which I do occasionally, I don’t really have a belt that I feel like abusing. I’m HARD on clothes, belts, shoes. It’s a personality defect. :-) Fortunately, until I wear ‘em out, my old jeans are tight enough so I mostly get away with it. But it’s still the stop-every-three-minutes-and-yank-em-up pain.

That’s yet another reason why overalls are proving to be optimal. Even in the Texas summer.

MOM said they protected the memory of Trayvon... WHY should he care about that, if he REALLY wanted to get his client off?

MOM is a very well-thought-out person.

As he has said previously, in this case, someone lost a son.

Doesn't matter if the son was a thug, his mother and father still loved him (and their memory of him is all they have left).

Do I think MOM knew Trayvon was a thug? Absolutely.

Do I think MOM really cared about Trayvon's memory? Absolutely not!

Do I think that embracing a thought about a parent caring for a lost son might make MOM a more compassionate defender [as a matter of sincerity of appearance]...absolutely.
