There are plenty of divisions in a nation of over 300 million people, from Democrats versus Republicans to Pepsi versus Coke. But most importantly is the one between cat lovers and dog lovers.

Dogs are still America's pet of choice with approximately 43.3 million households owning one or more dogs. Although the state with the highest percentage of dog owners is Arizona, with 47.9 percent or approximately 1.7 million households including a dog, the state mammal is the ringtail cat.
Cats are America's second favorite pet, with more than 36 million households having at least one feline resident. The state with the highest percentage of cat owners is Vermont with nearly half of all households including at least one cat. Their state mammal is the Morgan horse.

How much does your Maine Coon weigh? The biggest one I know weighs 22 lbs. I thought they got bigger.
My first thought was Hollywood.
“I also had a favorite cat a few years ago that behaved in many ways like a dog.”
We have a female orange tabby who is quite dog-like in some respects. She’s a bit of an attention-seeker, fortunately not in a destructive way, and she drinks from the toilet. :)
Mitt Romney put a dog on the roof of his car. Obama put one on the roof of his mouth.
Right. The Sunni Kenyan lustily ate his dog.
Woof, woof.
How lucky are we to have a phony, mystery, dog-eating, America-hating running dog for a president?
He and his henchmen objective to insure that all Christians and Jews living in Muslim countries are massacred. Further, they work towards enslaving all Americans, keeping them under the thumb of their spy organizations.
yes- the head bump! You’re hers now...I love it when they challenge you-want more food, scratching something up/ causing trouble etc. and they stare at you; once they blink slowly/close their eyes-they have submitted and you win!
I like both cats and dogs-I also love Muscovy ducks-they are like dogs to me!
Dohmer? Is that you?
Ha, same here but worse....subprime auto finance lol
Amen.
Thank you for your compassion for hard-to-place animals. All my cats are former strays.
Maybe you should have them shampooed and groomed every once in a while.
How would you smell if you went months without a shower or combing your hair?
My vet in California had a 28-pound Maine Coon. Tragically, he killed the cat by accident. It could not tolerate the anesthetic he used for its surgery.
The poor man was devastated for a long time.
We went to see Dodger, the abused dog I mentioned this morning. Animal Control has him at the vet’s right now and it looks pretty dicey. He has a swollen abdomen which might be liver disease. He may need to be put down. Wish me well
It’s my cat’s world. I’m just here to open cans.
I know what you mean. I have 3 Siamese, one Chocolate Point, one Snowshoe and an Oriental. They have certain foods they like. If I try to give them something different, the three walk away from the food and look back at me as if to say, ‘You expect me to eat that?’. You need to be a cat lover to appreciate their response!
I do wish you well. May Dodger recover and live a long and happy life.
My Siamese, and the one before hime (peace be on him) make their dipleasure with food very obvious:,P>
They “cover” it like something in the litter box. They are not the least bit shy in announcing opinions.
I dont own a dog. And not in the habit of shampooing random dogs.
The last time Bubba was at the vet, he weighed around 15 lbs. I would not be surprised if he weighs over 16 now.
