GI Told He Can’t Read Levin, Hannity, Limbaugh
American Spectator ^ | June 7, 2013 | Jeffrey Lord

So in the middle of all this business of the IRS, the NSA, Benghazi, the investigation of AP and Fox’s James Rosen comes this.

Todd Starnes gets kudos for reporting this. Here’s the link to his story, which we will quote directly:

A veteran member of the U.S. Army Band said he is facing retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party.

Every government agency will need to be purged from top to bottom to get back to normalcy, if we can ever get these leftists out of office.

It starts at the top and rolls downhill: five years now.

Political bumper stickers on a POV if driven aboard a DoD installation by an active duty service member or civilian employee areare a problem. I (24-year vet) have complained about pro-Obama / Dem & anti-conservative stickers on vehicles on base.

The reading of conservative books and what is served at a promotion party are none of his leadership’s business, although they will argue it was / is being done while on duty and in uniform. The services typically authorize the reading only of work-related materials while on duty, and the PC boneheads in his command will argue that he is on duty even during a backstage break.

Sad situation.

The Todd Starnes article reveals a Gaystapo cabal within the Army Band that is attempting to ruin his career. The repeal of DADT has unleashed a f@**ot militancy that has the civilian & military leadership quivering as the spineless jellyfish they are. God forbid an apocalyptic event in this country, but if one does, the self-reliant lovers of liberty will be separated from the whiny-@$$ lovers of sodomy.

he is facing retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party.

This is like asking string of five questions, and expecting a single answer. That's a lefty technique.

Each one of those events can be considered different by reasonable people, depending on their individual experience and knowledge. From my perspective, having anti-Obama bumper stickers shows lack of judgment if the vehicle is used on base. Hussein is his commander-in-chief, like it or not.

Reading books is a subcategory of the First Amendment, and is beyond the authority of any military superior, barring clear treason and sedition material. Conservative authors may not be arbitrarily and capriciously classified as treason by anyone. Anti-Obama literature read in the person's own private area and private time is a Constitutional right.

Serving Chik-Fil-A food as his own Promotion Party is no different than serving Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Foods do not have intrinsic political qualities, they may only be inferred, which is arbitrary and capricious. No-no.

The bottom line, who specifically set the policy? Name and rank, please. If orders came from higher authority, what was that authority?
Demanding those answers is no different than seeking out the highest authority which demanded criminal behavior from IRS workers.

By the way, catering to the pervert members of the military is NOT responding to a genuine higher authority.

It’s bait, and it originates from troublemaking, civilian hag bureaucrats. Don’t take the bait. Ridicule, instead.

If the military is not upholding the Constitution, then why should the soldier ... or any of us?

It is the military that is causing disruption, not citizens.

Your article said: “Sommers was told that his actions bordered on being disrespectful to President Obama and the ‘slightest inference of disrespect towards superiors can have a demoralizing effect on the unit.’”

You’d think they’d at least let people putting their life on the line by being ready at the drop of a hat to go into a situation that could result in the loss of life itself to at least have a little freedom of speech and privacy.

It’s funny how some things never change such as the phrase, “There’s a right way, and there’s a wrong way, and there’s the Army’s way.”
