Yum, how good that looks! A steak couldn’t be better. Our tomatoes aren’t so good here in winter. Of course, they are mostly shipped in here in winter as our weather here isn’t good enough to grow tomatoes. Do you love’em like I do?? I haven’t been on the computer since I last posted this morning. Ran some errands, took 2 naps, just stayed in and stayed cool. Didn’t even do much housework. Whats the use, just do it again tomorrow!!
I love that picture of the tomato sandwich. This winter maybe I can look at it and say “Spring will be here soon.” I can buy tomatoes in the winter but they’re not good and so different from what we call here “home grown”.
I’m going to save that picture so this winter when its freezing outside and may be snowing, I can send the picture to some local friends and my boys. (that’ll get their mouths watering.) YOU can find a picture of anything thats mentioned. I just forget to look....LOL! And its easier when you email that great tomato sandwich. Its 9:18 here and was probably about that time (AM) this morning when I wrote.
Hope you and all my Amy’s Friends have had a beautiful Saturday!!
I just finished the peach cobbler and man, was it delicious. I made me a cup of coffee to have with it and it couldn’t have been any better. You sure make good peach cobbler and I bet it didn’t take a minute for you to whip that up!
Hope you’ve had some rest from all that cooking! I do hope you’ve had a wonderful day.
Thanks for the lovely beach picture! No beaches around here though.
I was so moved to volunteer, I just walzed right up to the desk and said “sign me up!”. I have no idea what I am doing!
I trust The Holy Spirit will be with me and guide me the whole week long.
I found a neat website geared toward teaching children Bible verses. I had to print out the daily memory verses, and found one with cartoon graphics that is fun for the kids to see.
Having a meeting with Pastor tomorrow to go over what we will do. He has been on vacation all week and we have not spoken about this at all.
I am sure he’s done VBS many times. The gal in charge of it all says don’t worry, it will be easy and fun.
I have a fear of public speaking, and this will be good for me to do. Next up....reading Scripture during church services at the front of the church! Or playing piano as the congregation comes in for the service. Yikes.
That is the best thing to do, TCP! Now, you won't have to worry at all, because the SPIRIT knows what those children and congregation will need, and will supply it.
You will no longer need to question what to do, because you will be guided every step of the way!
((((HUGS)))) and Blessings!
It was a fun trip to the beach! Now I’m ready to get the sand out of my hair and go to sleep. :)
See ya!
And, thank YOU, Meggers - for all your sweet postings! Have a restful and peaceful sleep.
(I’m going to sleep with a smile - the verdict is not a disappointment to me!)
Yep! That’s the plan, I prayed weeks ago that God will use me to reach these precious children and bring them to Jesus. I don’t know how this will happen, but God does!
How wonderful that George got justice tonight in the not guilty verdict. I am so overjoyed for him and his family.
Still going to pray for his safety. I am just thrilled that we have seen justice served tonight.
Have a blessed Sunday! I’ll be back here tomorrow late afternoon or evening.
(Hugs)
The Lord will be with you..You’ll be blessed.
The pastor and gal in charge probably have a guide and at least a rough outline of lessons, activities and assignments already done..
Your input will be appreciated.
The children will appreciate your loving presence and attention. Be ready for hugs before it’s over.
(Or do they frown on hugs now..oh dear. I’m glad I taught in simpler times.)
I am so relieved.
Hugs would be a great blessing!
The school is only 2 1/2 hours a day, for 5 days. Should be fun and I am sure it will be one of the best things I ever did. It’s already been fun getting to know the lady who is planning it all. She is also the church’s music director.
Have a great night!
(((((Blessings, Hugs and Prayers)))))
Hit and run posting, things still hectic, MRI went well, see the doc Tue for results.

On a sandy beach in Uruguay, giant concrete fingers partially submerged in sand reach up toward the sky. It is called the Monument to the Drowned. Locals just call it La Mano, The Hand. It was created by Chilean artist Mario Irarrázabal as a warning to swimmers about the danger of drowning. The Hand has become a tourist attraction, but its real purpose remains to remind swimmers about the perils of the sea.
The Word of God contains its own kind of warning signs. The book of Hebrews especially provides cautions about perils to the soul. Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called Today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin (Heb. 3:12-13).
The context of the verse is a review of the unbelief and rebellion of Israel in the wilderness. Though this happened centuries before the book of Hebrews was written, the spiritual principle applies today. We are to exhort one another to resist the hardening of our hearts that comes with sin.
Warning signs are given to us for our safety. Praise God that He has given us protective warnings in His Word because of His great love for us.
