A good rule of thumb is that if you have a camera pointed at you or a microphone in front of you, never say anything you wouldn’t want made public. Time and time again, people get caught saying or doing embarassing things because they thought the camera or microphone wasn’t on.

News anchors in small markets like Bismarck, ND make around $25 to $30k a year - $40k tops. Weekend anchors less than that. This guy could probably make more money as a waiter at Applebees. That is, if he can describe a "Bourbon Street Steak" without swearing.
That said, if you are going to crash and burn as a weekend anchor in Bismarck, ND, might as well go out as a YouTube sensation.
